Marijuana... from concentrate.

Butane extraction is dangerous and can seriously burn and kill you. Extract OUTSIDE away from open flames or any source of ignition.


For this extraction i made an extractor out of a glass jar about 5'' in lenth by 1.5'' in diameter and it fits a half oz perfectly. I used a die grinder to make a hole in the bottom of the jar, this is for the butane nozzle. To close the extraction tube, i used a coffee filter wrapped over the jars opening and tied it with a zip tie. Don't forget to add the weed.


I used 2 bottles of 6oz Colibri brand butane found at the local cigar store. One bottle of butane/14grams of material.

The material i used was an 1oz of shake. Half Oz per tube.


Extraction is easy but also is when you are most vulnerable to fire so take precaution and exract outside. Empty the butane into the extracter and wait as the liquid butane drips through the weed and dissolves all the THC. It will drip out the end with the coffee filter and into the pyrex collection dish.



Butane Evaporation, almost done. The butane wil evaporate after a few minutes at room temperature. You can make it evaporate quicker if you put the pyrex dish into hot water. The honey oil will continue to bubble until there is no more trapped butane.

Once evaporation is complete, the oil needs to be heated so that the remaining butane can escape. I place the pyrex dish into a pan of hot but not boiling water and leave it there to purge for an hour or two. The water will need to be reheated once in a while. When the oil has completed purging it wil not bubble anmore, it is time to scrape your oil and put it into your storage container. I use a metal bottle cap that fits in a dub bag.
Here it is the finished product. 1.6g from the entire oz. keep in mind if i had more butane i could run the material again for a lower grade oil.

By Shake, i meant loose weed usually fallen off of nugs.

You can use whole buds aswell as amazing weed, better your starting product is the better the honey oil. Once you extract once with the product you can do it again to get lower quality oil but thats about it. There won't be any THC left to extract or to get high.

BHO is quite easy to do and really quick compared to other hash/resin making technique. Takes about 2 hours start to finish if you know what you're doing. Purging the oil for longer is recommend as it will make sure all the butane is out for a smoother hit. The most time consuming and hassle part i find about it is just making the extractor. You can always buy an extractor online, i think its called the O'kief tube.

I don't think there would be any thc left in the remaining material to make budder out of.

 

I got 29g for 90 bucks from a guy that gets pounds at a time. I guess when you grab big you can end up with alot of shake.

 

Nice! You Create a weed sausage. What are you using to collect the butane and evaporate it in? I find scraping the oil when its heated by the hot water to be the easiest.

 

IMO i think it beats hash hands down. Really easy extraction method and you make at the mininum 1g per half oz so this is some 14:1 stuff. One drop from a pin head onto a hot knife will get you extremly blitted. I let some of my friends try and they tell me they get high before they even exhale.

 

You can smoke it on a bowl if you wanted to but its tricky getting the oil there. You can smoke it ontop of ash and even a hot coal in your bubbler. Some people smoke it ontop of a steel screen but i find the oil always thins out and drips through.

I collect all my left over plant matter, leaves, stems anything that has any thc will be absorbed by the butane.
