Marijuana extraction--possibly using alcohol?

Probally you guys don't know about this.

But a lot of you I know have made hash, hash oil, or canabutter before.



But I ask--has anyone ever tried extracting Marijuana (thc compounds) utilizing ethonal (drinking) alcohol before? Therotically it should work.


Take the Marijuana and soak in in ethonal alcohol for a while (possibly a few days). Let it "ferment" in the alcohol. Slowly either simmer away the alcohol, or let it evaporate.
I'm not sure what you would be left with--but I do know that sythesis of many psycoatives is done with ethonal alcohol.



You won't get a crystaline form of thc--but I do think you'd be left with a rather potent form of thc molecules from Marijuana. It won't be thc-V, but it should be at least thc-II or thc-III. Yes--thc molecules are in many various forms. i.e. THC-II, THC-III, THC-IV, THC-V, THC-VI; which are all derived from--alkyl side chain, THC-C analogues. Thc-C analogues are the common molecules that you injest when you smoke Marijuana.

When you smoke Marijuana you take in every thc molecule (listed above) its just that you intake a small dose of each one to get the effect (the "high") whenever you smoke Marijuana. "THC" does stand for "Tetrahydrocannabinol". Which is basically a generic term for the alkyl side chain (thc-c analogues--all the thc molecules)


There are synthesis methods to actually obtain a high amount of THC-V; which get this--is STRONGER then lsd when in a extracted synthesis (pure) form. Supposlly the military has experimented with thc-v on soldeirs. To obtain thc-v it requires a lot of chemistry background, and materials. Its really really hard. I defintly probally won't go into this in my "classes".





But ya--I'm just curious--has anyone put Marijuana into a thing of ethonal alcohol and let it sit and ferment and then evaporate the alcohol before? If so--what where you left with? Did it work?

Alternativly you could put the Marijuana into the alcohol, let it ferment/dissolve (letting the thc molecules/alkalods come out into the alcohol) and drink the alcohol/thc compound. I'd imagine youd get pretty faded.
It would be like liquid thc. lol!

mmm...well I suggest--take this "green dragon", evaporate/simmer slowly away the alcohol. And see what you get---Once the alcohol is gone there should be some sort of substance at the bottom of the bottle/container---take this, and smoke it (probally in a vaporization pipe).

My threads a bit differen't though. Now that we know that marijuana can be extracted by utlization of alcohol, we know that we can evaporate the alcohol--and since the marijuana is soluble in alcohol, there will be a compound left over after the alcohol has been evaporated.


Thc is best injested (with most other substances) through smoking. Of course we always smoke pot anyhow, so make this "green dragon", and simple evaporate off the alcohol, and take whatever is left over--put it into a vaporization pipe/ontop of a bowl of marijuana and smoke it!

Of course the injestiong method you prefer is a individual choice---orally taking thc (say in brownies) gives more of a body high in my experiances.
If smoking through a vaporization procedure---the extracted thc, the high should be pretty much cerebal, and it should feel pretty good.



Well--I personally prefer chronics cerbal high--the kinda high you get from indica (fluffy dank buds)
