Marijuana as a Sleep / Study Aid

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Ozdock, May 31, 2009.

  1. For years I've had numerous sleep problems, as well as legitimate adult ADD. I'd been prescribed numerous medications, and especially in the case of the ADD meds, grew tired of the constant tolerance growth and increasing dosages.

I used to smoke marijuana on a recreational basis, once every few weeks with good friends, and always noticed the ease at which I was able to fall asleep, and my greatly increased focus the following day (it takes me a full day after smoking to be completely normal.) I've been experimenting with more Indica dominant strains, and I've found that smoking before sleep has had a tremendous benefit across my entire life. Not only am I able to fall asleep faster, and enjoy a much deeper sleep, but my focus the following day is unrivaled by the effects Adderal provided.

Sadly, living in South Carolina, marijuana has yet to be approved for medicinal purposes (I get the majority of my weed from a MOM, which I can only assume is also a medical dispensary due to the strains offered, as well as the location.) I just wanted to post this short story showing my gratitude for this wonderful drug, and to encourage everyone to share their own stories, and send letters to your local congressman.

    Thank you,

  2. Keep working at writing those politicians. Tell them your story and back it up with scientific studies (found in the links below). Eventually they will see the light (or be voted out of office ASAP ).

More states are seeing the sense in MMJ. Many seniors are now forced to choose between pain, hunger or homelessness- they cannot afford their medicines, food AND rent. How many could save money on even just pain meds by growing their own? (I'm not even going to talk about the 1,001 other medical uses!)

Not that long ago, I saw an elderly lady with a cane plunk down over $400 for a few bottles of pills. That is OBSCENE!

    The prohibition madness MUST STOP!

    Granny
