Marijuana Appreciation/ Questions on Tolerance/Smoking Everyday

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by Dope Solo, Aug 25, 2012.

  1. First off, this is my first post. Since starting using marijuana regularly I catch myself thinking about marijuana and every time I google any silly question it always led me here. I found all the posters here are so kind and really informative, unlike most of the bravado douche bags found on most in most interactive communities.

I am going to write a little about myself to better understand/asses the situation but this I know most people don't want to read a book so if you'd like to skip ahead feel free.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was always against smoking growing up. My mom smoked cigarettes and my dad brainwashed me to hate all smoke. After getting drunk a couple times in high school I took a few hits, never got high. One night my good buddy, who smokes daily, got my high as can be. We smoked a couple pipes of sour d and I was in another world. Still remember that night very well and it changed me. I think weed has made me such a calm person, I am more in touch with myself and I rarely have arguments, disputes, etc. with friends or family which I used to do regularly.

Anyways, I started picking up by myself and smoking a couple bowls with my best friend or even smoking by myself. I loved smoking but I always looked at it like drinking; recreational use and for fun. My problem is I have a severe anxiety disorder. I cannot fathom doing anything that involves any type of change. I hate everything new. I am moving away to live at my college downtown this year. I live in the South Suburbs of Chicago and my school is in Chicago. I have amazing parents and all the resources in the world to succeed while living there plus my roommate is one of my best friends but I still doubt I can do it. I am not looking for any psychiatric help on here though. ahaha

Furthermore, I picked up a vaporizer the: "Vapir NO2." The thing is amazing. The reason I purchased it though was to smoke inside of dorms with out having problems. Not to mention .2 gets me high as a kite.

All comments and answers are welcome but the more experience the better!

    Questions:
Smoking everyday- who does it and how does your high get affected?
t-breaks- how often do you take them and for how long?
anxiety- any smokers smoke to medicate themselves? results? experience?

I fear that once I move downtown I will be so anxious and nervous that I will choose to smoke every time I feel any doubts and start living in a haze.

Happy tokin' to everyone and thanks in advance!:smoke:

  2. Only you can sense when to take a t-break.

First, welcome to the forums

    Now to answer your questions...

Smoking Everyday: I do it, I used to smoke all day long, now I smoke at night, sometimes during the day and at night, really depends on if I work or not. Your high varies from strain to strain, true indicas always give me a really relaxed stone, sometimes that couchlock stone..which I do love. Then there are sativas which always give me that energetic buzz, I can clean the house, feel relaxed, but have the energy to clean like a madman. I don't have many sativas in my stash, but it's a treat when I take out the sativas. As far as tolerance, as long as its dank it gets me high...

T-breaks: If I smoke every night, I really don't need a tbreak. I can smoke dank weed every night straight till it runs out, and the high is very consistent. If I start smoking a lot during the day (have more down time:smoke:) and this becomes a constant thing, then I will need a tbreak for two weeks to a month every 3-4 months. It's not a big deal for me, I enjoy it sometimes, but I always come back to mary jane. ;)

anxiety I smoke weed because I enjoy smoking weed, it's a very open herb in my family, my gf smokes it, but we have lives outside of our marijuana hobby. I enjoy growing weed and I only grow for my gf and myself, never outside of this circle. We do use herb as medication in a way, we are an active couple, indicas help relax the muscles after a hard workout, I've also smoked to ease headaches, stomach aches, back pain...pretty much any pain you have will float away :hippie:

Hope I answered all your questions man. ANd you don't need to smoke everyday, enjoy it. Sometimes it gets in the way, I enjoyed smoking every day, don't get me wrong, but it was not a healthy situation. I haven't quit waking and baking, I just don't do it everyday, it also saves a ton of weed. Just enjoy it, it's not going anywhere...always have it on hand, but don't constantly feel the need to smoke it. Thats how I try to balance everything :bongin:

  4. 1 - I smoke almost every day. For me, it's very much like people who come home from work and have a beer, i'm not doing it to totally detach from reality, it's more a treat for a hard days work.

2 - I'll have t-breaks every month or so, usually just a few days to a week. I don't do it for any health reasons, just to give my body a break.

3 - I have PTSD (shell shock) from 8 years in the Australian Army. I was unaffected when the events were occuring, but since I retired and I have had time to think about it, what i've seen and done plays on my mind quite a bit. Marijuana does help, but I do not claim to use it as a medicine. I'm not doubting its medicinal use because seriously there's some amazing results out there, but for me it's all recreational so I can't contribute much to this question.

  5. I smoke everyday but it's usually always after 6 p.m. although sometimes i smoke day and night.... All day.
I smoke for my anxiety. Its bad.. like really bad. It helps tremendously!! But i don't find myself turning to it constantly for anxiety. I also read an article somewhere about how the anxiety relief provided by marijuana can stay in effect for up to like 48 hours or 72 something like that.
Like every 2 weeks i t break for like 3 days

  6. I find weed can make my anxiety worse, especially when I'm high and paranoid :smoke: Did you have this severe anxiety all your life?

    1. i smoke about twice a week on busy weeks and sometimes up to 4 on some weeks. i like to smoke at night at this park by my house which is really awesome with a friend of mine that i grew up who is also a girl and happens to live a few houses down from me lol lucky me. Also i have noticed that i can control it more now because when i started i could not control it and i kinda liked that more because i can just let go, now it takes more weed for me to get to that point but i dont mind it that much lol

    2. i try do them as much as often, 4-5 days is pretty good and anything more than that is perfect :D

    3. As for that i have noticed that it has in a way cured my OCD in a way, i dont know if its the weed but ive defiently have noticed a decrease , and as for you if you get anxiety i suggest you try to smoke mostly indicas like purps and anything thats afgan, really strong stuff, burn on :smoke:

  8. Yeah, I had pretty bad episodes at the ages of 5, 7, 11, 12 and now again this year.

Yeah I had a qt. of granddaddy purp back in July did me well. Had a pipe of afghan kush. Put me on my ass!

  9. For Anxiety: Try taking 3-6 15 second puffs from your vaporizer. It will give you an awesome buzz where you will act totally normal but you'll have no anxiety at all. I found that out by mistake when I was vaping and someone walked in after my 3rd puff and then I had 0 anxiety but at the same time I wasn't high.

    It was a great feeling.
