marijuana addiction?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by garagebandking, Aug 4, 2004.

  1. is it possible to get addicted to pot, because everything that ive read and heard has said that it isnt addicting. but ive been smoking high grade weed every day multiple times a day for the past couple of months and now i havent had any since noon...so its been 13 hours and im having the worst cravings and nothing to smoke...

  2. I think it is..I have a hard time sleeping if I don't smoke.....I also get irratated more often..and over trivial things. A lot of things are addictive though.....you should see what I'm like when I run out of Cocacola!!.....(I didn't want to say coke....thought you might get the wrong idea)

  3. anything cna be addicting. Television is addicting, in the same way that pot is. You get addicted to the feeling of it, but neither of them are actually chemically addictive like nicotine.
I read the truth behind those bogus studies that are claiming that pot is addictive.
Basically what they did, was htey gave people pure thc pills that has as much thc as is in 20 joints. Super stoners smoke like maybe 5 per day.
this obviously made people sick w/ nausea, diharrea, and sleep deprevation. They saw these as signs of a chemical dependency, and so it is obviously addictive.
Basically pot is habit forming, like television, or a midnight snack, or the internet.

  4. im addicted to porn......... anda caffiene........ :D....... dunno 'bout pot...?.

  5. After about 3 days, all the "withdrawl" signs go away. At least for me. After that I accept the fact that "hey, I'm not getting high every hour on the hour today"

I use it to help my anxiety, and then the weekend leads into a binge session. And before you know it, I'm anxious again.

  6. holy crap, i was JUST about to make this thread.

i really have a hard time sleeping if im sober the day after im high. but there may be more than meets the eye.

ive fallen out of my regualr workout, i think that's a big factor. it's been a real lazy month of movies, video games and just tv w/ friends... and pot. im going to start running every day again, i think that will majorly help.

  7. marijuana i think isnt physically addicting but its so good u dont have no reason to stop

    i guess

  8. its more of a mental addiction

add to my other tread above

  9. it is mentally addictive for me but i can live without it i was dry for a week and the first 3 days sucked but after that it didnt bother me at all now im high as hell again and i feel great

  10. caffine is more addictive than weed, physically addictive that is. its only mentally addictive to a few people with addictive personalities.

  11. yeah theres no physical addiction but im pretty keen on smoking everyday and im not wicked happy if i cant get some/havent smoked in awhile

  12. yeh u get those feelings for a couple days just cuz ur used to being high i guess.. but after a couple days it doesn't matter.. unlike harder shit in which withdrawal lasts for weeks or months..

  13. i mostly smoke to calm my hyperactivity. and yes I was born with it (diagnosed as well) :/

  14. lol hospital for caffeine?

  15. hahahaha snorting caffeine

  16. oh my god. i just had ambien tonight at 10pm to reset my body clock. the most amazing sleep of my life. perfect answer to not being able to sleep!
