But in all honesty, I'm still an active consumer. The stuff I download is stuff I'm interested in, but wouldn't pay money for.

If I like a game or movie or band, I will go out and buy it. My dollar is my vote and I use it very consciously.

Amazing. The graphics are out of this world and the multiplaying is incredibly challenging. There are lots of mods and game play tweaks which you can download (if you're that kind of gamer), and tons of custom maps, and they recently released a map editor (i'm useless with it though, no patience).

I highly recommend it, it's the best RTS game I've ever played.

You need a reasonably capable system to play it well though. I'm running 3.2 Pentium 4, Gig of RAM and a Nvidia 6200 and I can play comfortably at medium graphics level.

But then again, considering the games being release lately, the 6200 is getting out-dated VERY quickly. I am still debating what I want to upgrade to. 7 series, but I COULD fork out a lot and go with a Directx10 capable GPU -- which would require a new CPU.

Need to work out the figures. Will probably upgrade to a 7800.

Know how you feel. I'm sitting on an ATI X850 and I can't do shit till I upgrade to PCI-E, which means a new motherboard... Damn AGP. May as well build a new comp but I'd rather save for a car since my what I want would run me around 3k

Yeah, computers can be real money-pits.

I'd hate to think about how much more money I'd spend if it wasn't for bit torrent.
