Someday I'll finally get around to reading the bible, but untill then i was just curious if the bible mentions anything about maryjane and if it does, does its talk about it in a bad way?
chong 1:19 And Moses said unto him "Let thee partake of the burning bush and cleanse your soul of foul intentions."
what does that have to do with mj.. for all we know its talking about sex.. burning bush.. friction from sex.. how about burning <---------this guy? maybe christains are supposed to burn him.
Genesis 1 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. KJV
Check out Ezekiel 34:29 Isaiah 18:4-5 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
there are old translations of the bible which refer to a plant called Kaya, and other times called Kanae Bosum it says that this plant grew on King Solomon's grave search for this on google. i found a lot of interesting stuff. surely every christian should think prohibition is wrong. if God put weed on this earth for us to use (not just to get high btw) then if you make it illegal, then you're going against gods will. if he didn't want us to get high from it, then he wouldn't have made it so weed gets you high.
True to an extent, however it is also written that you shall obey the laws of the land. I don't care either way however.
I went to a link provided earlier in this thread and decide to share it with you. It basicly describes my major disagreement w/ the current system : So you have your rapist, your strong-arm robber, your mugger being released early to make room for somebody who took money for sex or smoked dope in what he thought was private, but turned out to be not quite. That doesn't look like much of a trade from here. However much you're repelled by, say, prostitution, wouldn't you rather meet a hooker than a mugger coming down an alley? -Reno Gazette–Journal
Don't try to figure it out dude it makes absolutely no sense. You could go crazy trying to figure out the thought processes of politicians and judges. lol
he's saying in life which would u rather be the rapist or the mugger in that alley way no one is ever just an observer and marijuana isnt illegal in the US because its "bad" think about when marijuana really got around 60's, 70's what happend then? movements black rights in the 60's and womens rights in the 70's the goverment looked at this and studied and came with the conclusion that it was marijuana that was changing society and they cannot control a socioty that protests its own goverment.... meaning its banned because they cannot control us with it be legal, and they can more so when it is illegal
SIRACH 38:4,6-7 "4 The Lord created medicines from the earth, and a sensible person will not hesitate to use them. 6 He gave medical knowledge to human beings, so that we would praise him for the miracles he performs. 7 The druggist mixes these medicines, and the doctor will use them to cure diseases and ease pain."
the tree being talked about in Ezekiel is referring to israel (it's prophetic). the burning bush is in Exodus. and no, christianity doesn't support marijuana. i do have to disagree with whoever it was that says christianity doesn't support anything fun. i'm a christian and i know of pleanty of ways to have fun that don't require getting wasted. i'm sorry if you've forgotten how to enjoy yourself without the use of drugs. EDIT: and the herbs talked about in Genesis do not include weed. weed isn't an herb.
Being raised in a Christian household and being myself a stoner, I've often wondered myself if the bible says anything for or against Marijuana smoking. The only thing I could come up with was as a drug it is okay to use as long as you don't abuse to the point where using it took priority over one's faith in God, and that one would need to keep their health in mind as to not destroy the temple of Christ. Yes, according to the bible one should obey the laws of the land but then again in Biblical records God did punish whole cities and tribes for not following the laws that God had intended them to. So I'd say that a law against possession and use of something that God created would be hypocritical for a country that puts In God we Trust on our money. I don't think God would appreciate that.. Besides, who draws the line on 'drugs'? THC bad but Nicotine is okay? How many people die each year from being addicted to smoking cigarettes? And Alcohol? It was in the wine Jesus drank.. so I guess that's okay. What about DXM? Caffene? LSD? Point being: Our Government has decided for us what drugs we can and cant have. That's undermining God's authority, cause he's the one who put it all here.. and they're not allowing us to have our free will without imposed punishment from them. But either way, it doesn't matter to me, because Smoking is my choice. Doesn't matter who says it's wrong.. even the folks Peace.
