  5. you should really think about taking down the foil

  6. well this is radical but top it and wiat for it to bush out then once it starts bushing out tie it down and do away with the fan leaves on the main stalk, id say leave it on 24 light or flower it to be sure its female then switch back to 24 hour lights and veg more... your foil is fine it can cuase hot spots but you should be fine how much light do you have on that little thing?

  7. I'm no expert, but personally i'd take the foil down like suggested and replace with white computer paper if the wall isn't already white.

As for the plant, put the light closer so it doesn't stretch for the light, as close as possible as long as your hand at the top of the plant doesn't get hot after a little while.

Topping will stunt the plants growth and you will have to light 24/0 til it recovers, i would suggest switching to 12/12 after it reaches a foot or so, but it all depends on the strain, space availability, etc.

  8. These guys started to express the foil issue but let me speculate. The foil is or could be the reason you have brown spots on your plant.
The foil is your worst enemy, take that down immediatly! The other thing you need to be aware of is the fact your "friend" is over/under water the plant. I would stick 2 fingers about 2 to 3 inches into the soil and if its dry, give her some water.

With out more details, its hard to give 100% answer on some stuff! I see the fan leaf torn witch also to me looks like bugs! Unless you tore it then that too could explain the brown spots on the fans leafs. Inspect the plant for any critters.

If you really wanna help your friend, get the board more details. We need to know the setup, the temps ect ect.. Every detail about your grow.

    GL

BTW, your seedling is stretching, try and level your canopy

  9. leave up the foil if you are lazy, its not THAT much a concern, but yes could have caused those spots.

It is streched just like the little guy next to it due to lack of light (too far away or too few lumens), and the leaves look like its been over or under watered, most likely over-watering.

If using flourescent lights, get them closer to the plant. It will bush up a little more throughout flowering. I'd top it if you want more area, it shouldn't stunt the plant much since the new growth that you cut is very small and usually starts growing again within a few days. If you want, top it and go into 24/7 until ready to flower and switch to 12/12 (make sure the plant has recovered from topping it under 24/7 before switching over)
    hope that helps some :smoking:

  10. id say there isnt much you can do about the stretch at this point. you gotta keep the lights closer through the whole veg process to keep it happy.

as for now i agree with the rest and remove the foil. i dont know if you really want to top it at this point, unless you really know what you are doing.

  11. Anyone else see the Irony in this? You say its not THAT big of a deal but it could have caused the burn.

I'd rather have NO foil then use it.
