Malware warning on grasscity?

    So in the past couple of days sometimes when i click on threads or pages on threads a malware warning comes up on my computer saying that grasscity contains content from a malware distributing site scenicpaintingtours. Just trying to find out if anyone else is getting this?

    Virus scan...You more than likely have a virus.

    Have you visited the favourite theme park ride thread in the great outdoors section lately? It's the one thread I found with a quick search that has a pic from the site you referenced...

    But seriously, it sounds like a virus.

    yea it does but my computer stopped itself from going onto the thread/page and i scanned too so i guess theres something with that amusement park thread

    You should be fine...as far as I know, you just got a warning that a site know to have malware on it is linked...as long as you didn't visit the actual site you should be good...

    I'd run a quick virus/malware scan just to be sure though...

    Even though that thread is old, you should start a thread about this here...Forum Tech Questions, Problems and Troubleshooting - Grasscity.com Forums...gnik should know about this...just in case...;)

    Eh, possible...But I wouldn't say probable. Most security systems in place for a website like this would block the attack, and they would have been attacked if the virus is loaded here, therefore I assume it is user-end and not server-end.

    Server-end would lead to an awful big shit storm here at GC that everyone would feel.
