Male?

    Ok thanks guys, just double checking...my biggest plants are male, didn't want it to be true :blush:

    The tallest plants are often males. :coolalt: They need to be tall to get their pollen in the wind.

    But "dry and try" your male, even though "stoner mythology" says they are not worth smoking! The fact is, it all depends on the plant's genetics! SOME males are worth toking!

    At the very worst, you end up with a male that is weaker than his sisters. Yet even then, that weak male can be used to make canna-oil, or used as a "filler" when you run low on bud (way better than using tobacco!)

    Ty i have been saying that if u have 5 plants same strain growing side by side. If any are male they will be lanky with larger node spacing.

    I have them hanging in my basement for just that purpose! I was going to start some oil or alcohol extract with them and then add the trim from the females when I harvest...I'm guessing leaf material will dry and cure much faster than bud but am still researching

    Do you have plenty to smoke or are you running low on smoke waiting on the females to mature? Don't let anyone tell you that you can not smoke a male plant. When I was really low on smoke and three out of four of my plants turned out to be males, I dried the three males and smoked on them until my female was ready to harvest. The high was not as good and didn't last as long but it will definitely get you high. You may have to smoke a whole joint to get high but you will get high. Some males actually have a higher THC content than their female counterparts but I haven't run across that yet. Of course, my males were not as mature as the females that I smoked so naturally it wasn't as potent. To sum it all up, If it's all you got, Toke it up. It doesn't hurt anything.
