Male vs female sex???

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by BaRaCuDa, May 26, 2020.

  1. Hey guys,

Been growing this plant for about 5-6 weeks now. Uts just stays on the sun around 10 hours of pure sunlight.

I am still not sure what sex it is because it kind of doesn't show anything. Also would like to ask how is the plant looking? It's getting bushier everyday and keeps growing
    Please help)

  3. Plant looks great! No I don't see any signs of definitive sex yet. Just gotta wait it out.

With you saying 10hrs of sunlight, is that an implication that this is an outdoor only plant? Is there other lights around at night that would keep it from flowering?

  4. It will show sex fairly soon. You see how in that last picture the leaves are no longer in even pairs, and now are staggered? That means your baby is just now hitting "puberty". Check back in a week and we should be able to tell you for sure!

Male flowers are usually in bunches and have a little stem. Girls start off singly and have 2 wispy white hairs. Don't confuse the thicker green stipules for female pre-flowers. (They screwed up the pic of the female preflowers- the green lines are touching the stipules, not the female preflowers that are topped with the white hairs! :coolalt:)

  5. I dont mind if it starts flowering, for me, the most important thing is that it is a girl. It's been weird honestly as I might have seen some "balls" forming on the nodes, but then they dried out and just dissapeared. I cannot see any white hairs for now, been looking at the plant everyday now.

It is receiving about 10-11 hours of sunlight st the moment. I believe that at night there is no other source of light, and yes, the plant is outside.

It's been weird lately, as I might have seen some "balls" on the nodes, but they just dissapeared after all, and j do not see any white hairs for now. It's been about 6 weeks now, doesnt it suppost to show the sex already?

  7. Is it normal like this what you see on the pictures?

  8. Looks to be female, but keep an eye on it as it progresses.
