  1. hey all, i was just told that i could make my own biodegradable cups from paper (newspaper to be exact)..
im not too sure on this. im pretty sure the ink could cause problems. what do you think?
but the idea seems like its logical.. so im wondering if anyones tried this and if so what paper works best?
i was thinking of using toilet paper or some other thin low tinsel strength paper.

  2. really? well how bout that. ill have to check on that.
what about toilet paper or anything else?
just so i can have a list of acceptable material to
my main concern is doing no harm to the plant or
adding anything to the soil that would do damage

  3. What are you trying to accomplish? If you want to transplant into a bigger pot by putting the entire cup into the soil, frankly I don't think it's worth the effort.

  4. thats exactly what im trying to accomplish. it makes transplanting easy and risk free. no need to worry about shocking the plant. and plus your recycling. so folding some newspaper and risking a papercut is worth it to me lol

  5. to be honest id go buy some jiffy pots but its a week til payday, the seeds are already germinating and they need to go into the soil by tonight. so its a quick easy cheap alternative
