Making tincture out of vape cartridge

    I have a half full 1 gram high CBD THC vape cartridge that was purchased almost a year ago. I was thinking of draining the oil into a glass tincture bottle to decarb in the oven, and then mixing it with 100 proof vodka to create a tincture.

    I do not know what is in the vape juice, but it was legally purchased from a CO dispensary, and my thoughts are that anything approved for inhalation should be less harmful when ingested.
    Is this a logical thought process? Am I missing something that would make this a bad Idea?

    Air decarb is well understood.
    Decarbing in the cartridge medium is not.
    An accurate decarb might be difficult.

    40 min @ 240 F is a good in-air decarb.
    2.5 hours @ 240 F in oil is an ok decarb.
    Hours in vape medium? No clue.

    That sounds right, I can't think of anything that's more harmful ingested than inhaled.

    I have a vape cartridge I'd like to get into too. IF I can ever get the thing open I was going to decarb is just like shatter. 240F for 40 minutes

    Took the mouthpiece off, removed seals and put cartridge in the oven at 170 to drain the oil into a dropper bottle. I then heated the oil at 300 for an hour, removed from the oven and mixed with 100 proof vodka(if I had to guess. 20:1 ratio). It seems pretty effective, as a few drops does the trick. It separates quickly, so shaking before each use is necessary.
