soo.... just a rpg game for my 8 yr old nephew, something we can do instead of just playing xbox (he's addicted to it need to get him off it) and I could use the programming practice since im going into comp science... anyway what im doing is making a simple text based game where you can design levels with legos and you can have as many friends (people playing) as you want playing but the program will just keep track of everything and also put in formulas for armor ranking and weapons atk power/def and possibly magic too haha kinda geeky i know but it's win win in my book (i get practice and my nephew gets a game that he has to look at a tv constantly, and it'll be fun playing it high ) why im posting this here? I need ideas! and i'm not high right now so I can only come up with an o.k. amount, also anyone that has programming experience that would like to give me design tips please do so i'm willing to learn from those with more skills than I Plans so far: Simple to start... - two classes, knight and ranger - weapons with atk power only - armor for def - gold currency - random factor (for looting and attacking) programming plans: - text files to keep track of games as you go, giving the ability to load the game p.s. - we all have played with legos, just one more way to enjoy the green and make others happy all thoughts are welcome and i do plan on releasing this to the community for others that enjoy spending time with their younger family members
step one: acquire 20 dollars step two: purchase minecraft its basically like legos, with survival incorporated
i have it, as i said, im trying to get my nephew away from electronics for games, even though this uses it...but i will have to type everything in for him as it'd be confusing for a little kid ya know
mmhm.. you should make this game though. matter of fact, it should become your lifes work. and it should also be free. I'm 100% serious about this, I want to see this game
