Hi All: Long time smoker, first time grower.. I have done a bit of reading both on this site and the web and can't find the answer I am looking for. I have one plant and no other and it turned out to be male. I was going to trash it and start again but I read somewhere where a male plant can be used to make Hash. Now, I know a lot of people say that it is not worth the effort, throw it out, doesn't have enough THC etc. I understand all of that. But I did find some sites that show HOW to make hash but not WHEN to make it. My questions are specifically this: Does the male plant require a "flowering" period like the females? Do I need to place it under the 12/12 lighting structure? Right now I have him in a pot outside on my deck. He is 3 months old and about 20" tall. How mature should the male plant be before I cut it down to make the hash? I understand that the yield might be very small, but I still want to give it a try. Do I use ALL of the plant, including the pollen sacs and stems? If I can use the sacs, do I wait until the sacs open before cutting it down or do I do it BEFORE the sacs open? Any and all info will be greatly appreciated! Happy day to all...
Hash is made from the stalked glandular trichome heads. I have never had any males with any trichomes, at least before they blow their pollen anyway. I think making hash from males is a myth
Fed to the worms? Is it really that beneficial or did you just not need it at the time? Wait..you can only harvest pollen once right? Like they die after right?
I have never kept one long enough to find out, once I get my pollen they're worm food. I don't understand the other question
