na lol, obviously I exaggerated, but its quite known that with a good amount of herb, you get hardly anything.
Personally I have never tried it so I'm not gonna say its "not worth it" but in this economy, 50/G isn't practical.

I didn't read any where that he asked if it was worth it. and obviously he thinks it could is if he would post the question. So why not direct someone instead of imposing your views on them

 

Your argument makes no sense, as the amount of oil you smoke is relational to the fact that it's oil.

It's not like you smoke an equal amount of oil as you would bud to get high, that would be absurd and you'd be toasted out of your mind.

If you really do the math and consider a bowl is maybe .3-.5, however big you pack a bowl, and a dab of oil is from .02-.1 (.1 being a huge dab and probably equivalent to smoking a half gram bowl if not bigger) then you'll probably find that oil is not any more expensive. Or if it is, it's probably a nominal difference.

 

Unless you are getting it from a dispensary, or trim, then yeah its alot more expensive.

 

Dude you've never even made it and I doubt you've smoked it, how are you gonna pretend to know better than someone who's made it countless times and bought it from plenty of dispensaries?

It takes 5 grams give or take to make a gram of oil. I can get 5 grams for $50. So a gram of oil costs $50. A gram of oil probably gets me 20 good dabs, I'll count each dab as a good high.

Now to get an equivalent high to a .05 dab I'd say I'd have to smoke like .25-.3 grams of raw weed. 5 grams divided by .25 each time (so assuming a gram lasts 4 good sessions) would put you at getting high 20 times.


The only questionable part of my math above is whether a .05 dab is equal to smoking a quarter of a gram, which I'd say it is in my experience. Thus, assuming that's correct, you get the exact same amount of highs out of a gram of oil as you do the raw bud it takes to make it. A lot of people, such as myself, find the oil high preferable to weed (it's very different).



So there ya go, oil is just as economical

 

i dunno, it's saving me money.. a quarter (90) of buds will typically last me like 2 or 3 days where if i make it into bho the ~1.2 i yeld from it lasts me 4+ easy... but everybody's different

It's a forum the whole point is to talk and learn. And all I was doing was explaining to him that oil isn't as expensive as it seems, don't be a tool about it and act like we're "bitching."

P.S. the only real reason I corrected him is I used to be the same way myself. I didn't wanna try it and end up wasting a ton of bud and therefore lose a lot of money, but it's really a lot easier than it seems and like I said, is just as economical.

 

Maybe he's asking cause he just chopped down some plants and it sitting on 20lbs of trim?
