    Ok I know the safest way the make butane hash is outside, but in my current situation I cannot. I have done this many times before indoors
    I do take many precautions though I still feel like I can take more. Here are the precautions I take;

    the first thing I do I shut off the pilot light located on the heater outside the door of my room. Next I open the window the put a towel under the door. I wear a $40 painting mask from home depot and PVC gloves so I don’t freeze my hands and have a fire extinguisher on hand. I also unplug all electronics and make sure not to have a cell phone in the room or anything electronic that might turn on.

    I become more and more concerned cuz I know it only take the slightest spark to ignite the butane fumes. I mean even static electricity could ignite it! and I butane fumes are heavier then air so the more cans you use the rooms starts filling u with butane fumes from the ground up.

    Ok here what im trying to add the make this process alot safer for me and anyone else trying to do this process, I’m gonna hook up a 4" vortex inline fan and hook the "out" ducting on the window of my room leading to outside and the "in" ducting right by the tray of butane so I will be pulling all the butane out of the room. The only problems I see is will the motor in the vortex fan ignite the fumes? Sorry if I typed too much so what do u think?

  2. Before my dad and I started making bubble hash, we made butane hash. We used a glass pyrex cassarole dish, a butane "extractor" (the thing you put your weed in and shoot the butane through), canned butane from the supermarket, and a grinder. We worked near an open window with a vent fan pulling air out, and an oscillating fan in the immediate area. We never lit a fireball from the fan motor, but one time I lit the butane with a candle tied to a stick. It wasn't spectacular, just enough of a flash to burn your hair really good. If you throw the bottles in a fire when they're about half full they make a really fucking big explosion... you probably shouldn't try that.

    Just vent well, and you'll be ok. Oh, FYI: don't use stun guns while making bute hash.:cool:

  3. i suggest getting ultra refined butane online cuts it a lot better had some of the most potent oil probably in ohio using actual buds and 90$ a box butane that was ultra refined my whole body was numb from a few needle drops ontop of some nug

  4. I use the "Vector" Butane its 5 times refined. ya im just gonna hook up the 4" Vortex and make it in the next few days. thanks for the info guy ill tell u how it goes

  5. Also turn off your fridge, freezer, and any HID lights around the place (they use starter caps), such as security or grow lights.

  6. It will never be a problem, until you forget something or make a mistake, somehow.

    In my opinion, it just isn't worth the risk. As long as nothing goes wrong, you are golden. If something goes wrong, you could go from "Golden" to "Black and Charred" in a second.

    I guess I am just too careful about some things. Why not just smoke Trichomes if you can't make honey oil?

    :smoke:

  7. You don't have to shut off your damn fridge. Just vent well and don't have an open flame or spark in the IMMEDIATE VICINITY. Butane is a very volatile gas, don't get me wrong... it will suffocate you, freeze burn the shit out of you, explode in liquid form in contact with air, and it's highly flamable. BUT, I have been in many chemistry labs with refrigerators, open flames, cell phones, and lots of other electrical items while dumbass students play with all sorts of volatile gasses. I never blew up, and neither did any students. I never blew up making butane hash either (even making it in the kitchen near the fridge... aaaarrrrggghhhh!).

    Treat it like it is: dangerous. Well vented area, some kind of mask, gloves if you're clumsy, fire extingusher near by, don't smoke a bowl while doing it... and most importantly: if you don't feel confident doing it then don't do it.
