Hey all! Pretty new here... Anyway, I've made a few wood pipes before and they hit pretty nice and looked alright too. I was reading up on clays to use and I read that polymer clay is really bad to use on account of all the odd harmful chems in it. My question is, can I glue said clay on the outside of a wood pipe? Can I glue anything on the outside? Sorry if that's a dumb question. I'm just really paranoid about sucking in anything bad for me in addition to pot.
I am no professional on this matter, but as long as the glue and the clay are on the exterior then i think you should be fine. Just make sure those products wont be touching any heat and i think you will be ok. Just be careful with it and if you arent sure dont risk it man.
Yes you can decorate it like that. Do you remember what they said about the clay? I have a feeling they meant unfired clay. If you put it in a kiln to harden, I dont see how that would be harmful
