I was thinking about making my own clay bong, but I don't have access or the ability to make my own kiln. I wanted to know if anybody knows if it would be safe to make a bong from oven-bake clay, and use a glass bowl piece in it? The biggest reason to not make a clay bong that I have read is the heat will release toxins, but if the heat is mostly hitting the glass bowl piece (probably with a rubber gromit inserted as well) would it be safe?
If you are using a glass piece it will be perfectly fine, as long as the lighter dosent hit the clay.
