I made a fatal mistake last week when feeding (my first time ever!) I put in tons of pure undiluted ammonium nitrogen feed into my plants pot! Today I saw the first signs of nute burn and then I dug a bit into the soil and i saw salt!! Fucking massive ammonium crystals! I have a really bad feeling my plant will die because it's still so small and the burn has already started! Should I flush or should I try take the plant completely out of the soil carefully and transplant into a completely new pot or what? I'm not looking for criticism here I know what I've done is probably the stupidest shit some of you've ever heard of but I really need help. My cameras broke so I can't show you any pics.
Ok the plant is in a 1 liter pot and I flushed it with 1 liter or pure water. I couldn't do anymore cos the was already moist Before I flushed and I felt like I'd drown the plant
You should keep flushing until the water comes out clear. After that you should let it dry and hope for the best.
Alright I just kept adding water until it was clear but I tasted it and it was salty as fuck so I put a load more in till there was barley any taste so I ended up putting in about 3-4 liters I hope to fuck this works. I'm pretty sure I'd cry a little if I had to wake to a dead plant tomorrow haha.
Id get it out. Shake it out. Xplant into new soil. By flushing, u are still helping to add the chems that are doin the burning. U want it to stop asap. Be gentle. And stay outta that Guiness lol. Freak
Honestly, theres a very very slim chance of it surviving anymore since it's been almost a week since.
The nute burn is not as bad as that it's only affecting about a mm on 2 leaves if most of the salt is cleared out I can only see the nute getting a little bit worse from the salt already inside the plant.
If it's still alive tomorrow I'll take it out and transplant it and if it's dead I'll be hitting the Guiness pretty hard that's for sure
Ok the plant is still alive and I can see only a tiny bit more nute burn on the same two leaves, no new leaves are effected and the plant even grew a bit today. I just hope it stays this way.
