Mainlining & Pruning, Post Foundation...

  1. Hello

Got a question about mainlining/manifolding for 8 colas. After the foundation is formed and the primary 8 cola branches are there. Is the general idea to prune all secondary bud sites that appear on any of the 8 main cola branches up until you hit flower, then what is left will be 8 main flower branches and no little secondary off shoot bud sites?

    I'm just worried that either
    A) by removing all the secondary bud sites that grow off the main 8 cola branches I will be harming the plants health in general, which harms the 8 main cola branches flower production?
    B) by not removing all the secondary bud sites that grow off the main 8 colas I will be wasting the plants energy for the primary 8 colas harming their flower production?
