Yes you can, just buy a half decent one. I got one with my magic flight. Buy since then I have been reading about the charger, Apparently it's got a safety issue. But when I researched it, the ones sent to the uk were fine However it got me proper paranoid now lol I don't use it unless I'm at home. Going to replace it ASAP.
Yeah, I use an Energizer rechargeable setup and I also have 4 energizer batteries (rechargeables) that I peeled and use in the MFLB. My charger would make the batteries too hot to touch - literally - right out of the box, so I discarded it and just used the Energizer setup. I'd like to find more battery caps though; I have 6 batteries and only 2 caps. Don't want those peeled batteries touching along the positive terminal. That'd be bad.
