    This is my first post, so hello everyone!
    My wife and I moved to Madison, Wisconsin about a month ago now, and for a super-liberal, pot-friendly town, I'm having NO luck at all scoring anything of any quality. I've been to every place downtown that I can find that would at least have some 'kind' people near it, and no one will help a guy out.
    I did meet one guy who shared some great hash with me, but then proceeded to tell me he didn't know anyone who could get me anything...:confused:
    I've smoked for 15 years, almost everyday, and suddenly it's like the hardest thing to come across in a place where I've heard that everyone has it!
    I'm NOT asking for hook-ups or anything, as per forum rules, but does anyone know where I should hang out more often to maybe, one day, finally run into someone? There has to be a place here that we pot-heads frequent besides head-shops where you can't say 'bong'...:cool:
    I have scraped all I can from my old pipe, so now, well......damn. lol

    JESUS! I just smoked some ak-47 i got in middleton. It could be because i grew up here, but I know several dealers and madison is a prime spot if your a stoner. I know a few college dealers also. Weed is everywhere..um but im terribly sorry to hear that your having a rough time. If your brave go down to knuckleheads and maybe sunshine and watch the people that go in and out. If you see a stereotypical stoner try to explain your situation and see if they could help point you in the right direction.

    My friends and I love to roll blunts and drive down in my friends escalade bumping with the windows down just getting baked and watching the females which are normally everywhere

    My best recommendation of scoring a bag would be to go to a DISK GOLF course of course. Go buy a couple disks and pit put around like a dork and chit chat with some people... Bring your peace and bust it out after chatting for a minute and let them know your situation.. Someone should be by in about 15 mins for your convenience.. Congrats on gaining the knowledge of getting by high from state too state with NO PROB

    Thanks for the quick tips guys! Sadly, I've tried the Knuckleheads approach already...every weekend actually..lol The disk golf idea I haven't tried yet though...Seems to be worth a shot, googlemaps shows a few courses pretty close by. Hell, maybe I'll come across an escalade with smoke comin out the windows this weekend! :wave: I'm going downtown in a few minutes to see what's up. Wish me luck!

    A good tip is to chill a bit outside a frequented gas station that sells cigars and blunt wraps. When someone comes out holding one in their hand, kindly approach them.

    Well...another night with nothing to be found...I'm sure it doesn't help that the family tagged along, but I can't just leave em at home all night alone. I suppose I'll just check out the nearest disk golf course tomorrow;). Monday, Lee 'Scratch' Perry is having a show at the Majestic, downtown... Let's see- reggae concert in Madison....hmmm...there should be at least ONE pothead there! :hello: I'm bringing my papers. Anyone else going?

    I'm gonna eat some pizza and go to bed- nite everyone.

    I'm hoping you don't have to wait this long but remember, the 38th Annual Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Festival is comin up in Madtown beginning of October. I know I'm gonna make the 1.5 hr drive down there. Shouldn't be hard at all to find someone there. Idiots will be doing that shit in the streets (and getting caught) like they do every year lol.

    But seriously, the bunch of times I've went down there to kick it with friends, the buds seem to flow like the Wisconsin River. You should be in the weeds in no time.

    I ran across the MySpace page for the Harvest fest...and been drooling ever since. Can't wait! I just hope I don't end up one of the folks with the cuffs on, cuz I WILL be there. My wife says this town is pretty cool, so I'm just waiting to find out how cool. Last night we strolled thru the UW campus with our daughter (1yo- we get so many 'AWWWW!s and She's so cute!s) and , DAMN, that is one big school. I'm gonna scope it out alone soon, see if I can meet someone cool. It's just hard to get out and really go places without the family to meet anyone that may be willing to help out...
    The wife is gonna drop me off at a disk golf course in a bit, while she takes the baby shopping...got my fingers crossed and my 4:20 hat on...:yay:

    Madison is great man. My Dad graduated from there in the 70's and his stories are crazy. I tried to get in but apparently a 28 act/3.2 gpa isn't good enough.

    Give it some time. You will for SURE run into weed sooner than you think.

    My gfs 26 act and 4.0 gpa wasn't enough either.

    But if you have a 2.1 gpa and a 15 on your act you can get in as long as you're good at playing football.

    LOL!!! When i went to MHS there was this kid in my grade who got in to UW-madison for
    2.0 and the first time he got a 12 on his act and second time he got a 14. He is an amazing lineman.

    BUT im wondering how much your looking to get?

    Yeah, this town seems quite taken with football...never been a big sports guy myself. Though I did have fun at the disk golf course today; but that's not much running around so it fits well for the stoner-type:). I didn't meet anyone that seemed to be very open about anything though. Oh well.
    I'm looking for whatever $50-60 can get in this town- but really I'm hoping to meet someone I can call every-now-and-then. My friend down in Florida (where we moved from) is only running into seedy mids, but even THAT I would be happy with....but we don't wanna try to mail shit, that just seems like too much trouble to possibly get into...lol:eek:
    Although at this rate, I may try to convince him anyway...maybe. I don't know. I'm just trying to avoid asking my drunken, wife-beating neighbor for anything- I KNOW he can get it, he was smoking around his little kids with his drunken wife outside the other day. But I don't want those people coming around my family at all. They're just too violent for my mellow tastes. *sigh*

    Not just a child in the home, also in a small apartment complex...after growing in Florida as often as I have, I don't want to take the chance with smells and light-cycles here quite yet. Anyway, logic dictates that I would have found some smoke if I found some seeds...;) I will eventually get back into that though, as soon as we buy a house in a couple of years. When I can control my environment a little better, I'll be free to build everything properly, instead of a little cardboard closet room again. And by then I should have a source for some decent seeds, not just schwagg seeds like before.

    Here's a quick update on my lack-of-smoke situation, then I'm done with this thread. :)
    I met one guy who made an offer who seems cool, but he hasn't called me back at all about getting anything since said offer was made:confused:, and, after going to the Lee Perry show downtown, I met some cool people who traded numbers with me, but after calling them, I get no call back either. :( I was really hoping to score something before I head to Milwaukee this Friday for a concert and then go camping this weekend....oh well. I suppose you never know, they may all call at once today! The people at the concert were really cool so it really bums me out, more than not smoking, that I don't get a return call because I have no friends here (just moved here and all) and they said that we should hang out last night. I suppose the search is still on then, but isn't it always?
    Thanks for all your tips and comments everyone! It's just too bad you can't meet people through the forum with all these stupid laws against the only thing that keeps me relaxed and my back from hurting so badly! Maybe I'll just save all the money I would normally spend on weed and go to Amsterdam...lol That should take about two months:D. j/k

    lol, no offense intended....my cardboard box was horribly built...I had literally no idea what I was doing! I bet I could come up with some great cardboard closets now, but damn, that first was terrible... :D

    state street i know a couple guys down there (very close friends) who have some very good shit, usually trainwreck and some haze

    harvest fest is coming up in oct you can meet some pretty cool people there
