Made the mistake of using Miracle-Gro, can I replant my seedling?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Carni, Jan 26, 2019.

  1. I got a very health seedling with only two sets of leaves so far. I made the mistake of planting it in Miracle-Gro indoor potting soil. I've read up on all the pros and cons and I decided to not take the chance with it. What is the best way to replant my seedling without damaging it? Thanks.

  4. Just went to Lowe's and couldn't find anything decent. Going to home depot now.

So how do I transfer the plant? Just scoop up a generous amount and stick it in the new pot with the new dirt?

  5. Any hydroponic grow shops? Sometimes they sell soil like fox forest ocean farm. and yeah just stick something along the edge of the pot and loosen it and get what you can without damaging roots

  7. Did lowes have that black magic?

  8. Home Depot only carrys it. Works great and plenty of verculmite and perlite. My clones roots exploded in it and even germed some seeds in it.

  9. Black magic is the way too go.

  10. So I did the transplant and it was mostly successful. I broke some of the roots on the bottom when I tried to readjust it. Will that kill it?

  11. Hopefully it bounces back by the beginning of next week, my plant showed no transplant stress, if you disturbed the bottom roots you might notice some stress over a couple days. Looking forward to a pic maybe tomorrow?

I’ve transplanted venus fly traps HORRIBLY and within 5 minutes they looked like death, came back within a week though.

Remember the plants, they are life, and life wants to live.

  13. Now is the time to make SURE you don’t overwater her, as your plant is about to stall out for a few days. Happens with transplants, especially if you disturb the roots in any way.

Have faith tho, like that guy said, life wants to live.

  14. The drooping on the right leaf seems to have corrected itself already (I did not prop it up or anything). Weird. I did water it a bit after the transplant so maybe it was just a response to the watering.

  15. Best to take pics with your blurple off... no one can see your plant very well. The flash on your phone will suffice, natural lighting is best. Anything but purple pics lol

Is this a male or female? Or not yet possible to tell?

  17. Just water in a circular motion around the little seedling. She will grow roots all around and better. She will be ok.

  18. It’s really hard to tell :/ I’d say Possibly Female. Lil white hairs will shoot out of those calyx’s u see at the node joints. Or balls and bananas will form! U don’t want that...

  19. The plant has been droopy all day. Finally got my ph control stuff and gave it a bit of ph balanced water. The water i was using before was super alkaline. Hopefully this helps.

  20. I honestly think you should just relax. She looks fine, if you are thus worried about a normal seedling, ohhhh man wait till further veg and flower lol.

She is looking nornal, leaves wont always stay parallel or perfect mate. These are my seedlings in Black Magic. 20190123_214156.jpg
