Made the mistake of fronting cash. How would I get my money back?

Hey GC. I made a mistake a while ago about lending/fronting $85 to a friend for some weed, since he needed to raise $400 to buy the shit. After he gathers all the cash, he then proceeds to take another month to even try getting me the shit my friends purchased, and then ends up saying his parents caught him. It's probably true, since this fucking idiot thinks putting weed in his pocket is the best way to hide his weed on his way to school. I'm tired of this guy, because I'm certain he's just going to avoid me and come up with excuses until I leave town. He is a friend of mine, and I'm trying not to be a dick, but I know that the only time I ever get violent is when someone fucks with my possessions (including food, or, in this case, money).
He says he's going to help pay it off with weed, but I doubt it, since he didn't do shit to make up for it during the summer, and he never even helped hook me up with one of his dealers when I lost mine. I'm fucking tired of this bullshit, and so I would greatly appreciate if you guys could help me come up with a way to get him to compensate me or something. I know he always has enough money to buy himself weed. Actually, now that I think about it, this fucker actually did smoke the weed he was going to give us. He smoked at least half of it before he got caught with it. I'd appreciate nonviolent means, but I need every possible course of action available to me. And I know 85$ is a small amount- it's more about getting him to pay his $400 debt to everyone.

 

Yeah. I think that's the ultimate threat I can give him. I still have his house number (and address lol).
I'll ask him every day this week, and get all the other people he has a debt to start pestering him this week. After that, I guess I could make them all angry enough to make that threat. Anything else though?

 

He seems to forget everything. Also, he never checks his phone. It is rediculous
