Just realized the two afgan kush seeds I ordered are auto. Is this gonna be a problem for a beginner? Any tips?
Hey man, dont worry its quite easy to grow them for a beginner. Please read in the forum. If you look around you find lots of threads about autos and how to raise them. If you want to see a diesel ryder auto grow than follow the link below. http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-grow-journals/716779-stealth-diesel-ryder-autofem-grow.html
Not going to be a problem at all. Auto seeds are the easiest because you dont need to change lightcycles hense the "auto". The only thing that isnt the best about auto seeds are that they are less potent than the non-auto seeds and they have small yeilds. They can be good if you have a small space and if you dont have as much time to grow. Have a great grow
ok cool , yah small yields does not matter , im grwoing for personal use only. ill check the link but can i get the basic light cycle for autos
Hey man I wish you could try some of my Diesel Ryder from the joint doctor. The Dutch have improved the strains and they quite potent little buggers. Check my autogrow and you see what I mean http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-grow-journals/716779-stealth-diesel-ryder-autofem-grow.html http://forum.grasscity.com/outdoor-grow-journals/728732-2010-outside-monster-grow.html
I don't agree that it is easier to grow an Auto. You have very little room for error because you don't control when the plant flowers. It will flower whether you want it to or not and if you make any mistakes early in the plants life you are going to have a significant loss in bud. If this is your first grow I suggest making mistakes on a bagseed plant and not a bought seed. Good Luck
any help on the auto light schedule? im gonna save this auto for a later time. Had two bag seeds germinate this morning! Put them next to some heat and they popped
so 18/6 after she pops or right when i plant her? This is my first grow but ive overseen acouple , i know a good amount about growing. I never knew about autos tho. Never order seeds before. Im used to regular light schedules. 24/0 18/6 12/12. Are you suggesting the auto's because its easier? or less chance of error with switching schedules?
I don't have auto's as well, but from what I've read they will just flower on their own and there is no need to switch to a 12/12 light sched with them because they will automatically go into budding when they are ready.. 18/6 20/4 all the way till the end.. Thats about all I know about that though haha..
It'll be way quicker and easier, too! Wish I started with autos! Just keep her under 20/4 lighting start to finish. Feed nutes as you would for photoperiod plants. After 2 weeks, you can start nuts. Use 1/4 strength of what's recommended and work your way up. MOST importantly, make sure to check your ph often an keep it as stable as possible! Good Luck! P.S. Are we related?? Haha!
