i posted this in my thread and i figured i would post it here to get more responses. I am going to take some more under a daylight cfl to see if i can get pics that show the trichs more clearly... these pics make them have a reddish tint..
dang dude, how were you able to take those? i tried so hard to take pics through the eyepeice of my microscope and it just wasnt happenin. share your secret!!
the infinity function(some of the 2nd round of pics were taken in manual focus, focused for far away things) + 105w daylight cfl + 10MP camera... thats it
I am not an experienced grower and could be completely wrong, but my guess would be that people need to see some pics a little further back (not so up close), to tell you when to harvest. Nice looking trichs though!
Brazy, think you need to take pics more on the side, the color of the leafs can distort what your seeing thru the trichs (color wise) I would not make judgement using those pics.
how would i go about doing that? i tried it once and couldnt seem to keep anything steady enough to see trichs
put the plant material on a white surface and focus on the edge of material, you'll see trichs horizontally with white background, does that make sense? that's how I look at them.
thanks, yea thats what i did here about 2 hours ago, but i forgot all about posting them lol... hope these help show them better. I used the piece of leaf fom yesterday (it was dry now) and it seems like the trichs are easier to see.
I haven't harvested myself for the first time Jay, but my guess would be you could wait a little longer, they look mostly clear to me. I'm sure they're easier to view without the camera, eh, nice pics though. I've got the same microscope and I can't take pics like that, nice job.
Something else that you might want to try. If you've got a digital SLR you can buy addon macro lenses and extension tubes that aren't too expensive. Here's a photo I took earlier with the 10X lens added: If I add the extension tubes I can get much closer.
