Macgyver CHEAP CFL batwing reflector

  1. I was looking around the house today for something to make a reflector with... This is what I came up with. Try it out! Took like 20 min and around 5 bucks! (You'll need wire cutters, electric tape,socket, bulb, can, and some string/rope). Careful the can WILL CUT YOU! lol

  3. I taped the sharp edges of the can and taped the socket to the can... Thanks!
     
  4. Oh and I would definitely recommend punching holes in the can to tie the rope. tape didn't quite hold...
     
  5. It would be good to test the reflectivity of this unit compared to one done in flat white or other shades with a lumen meter ..?
     
  6. im thinking about painting it white...
