Lupe; what magnification?

    so I need to buy a more powerful Loupe. mine is only 15x mag. these old eyes need more power.

    what magnification should I buy?

    well you say 60x at least, so because of my eyes I would like to go to 80x,, I have been searching the net but the only one I can find is a super cheap $5 one

    I do well with 25x I have a few too, but 25x is easier to check without being confused with the bug crap

    Then don't bother with another loupe. Buy a usb cam or pocket scope.

    Got a Harbor Freight near by? They sell a magnifier to wear around your head w/ flip up visor, a second lens set you flip down for more magnification, and a (like a loupe) swing down lens for just one eye. Also 2 batt lights, one each side, I removed these first thing. The swing down lens can be switched to use with your 'dominent' eye.
    edit: With those maginify #'s, you are very close to what you're looking at.
