I just got a lumatek digital ballast. But I don't fully understand how it works. I really didn't see a on/off switch, so how does it work and on the back there are two ports next to the power cord 120 v . One is labeled output the other says input. What the hell is this used for? I know I need a male lamp cord for my mogul socket, but am I missing something. Is it really straight forward just plug it in or do I need a special timer? Its a 250w dial a watt.
I believe the new Lumatek have a port you can plug a lumatek fan into to cool the ballast...optional..check their site
