LST'ed once, bent stem!

  1. I had a really tall plant that needed to be tied down once cause it was going to hit the grow bulb.

So i did that but the next day i found it totally flopped down, bent instead of a gradual bend change. Is this going to hurt the plant? Im trying to get it smaller but with that bend/pinch its not going to happen. I try and stand it back up but it just falls over.

Would the best thing to do be just put a stick in and support it, let it grow as tall as it wants?

  2. Can't you find to make the light go up a little higher?
Usualy you have to LST when the plant is younger.

  3. Yeah i wasnt trying to start late, i knew i had to do it early but i never wanted to in the first place. Im only doin it cause the plant is gettin way tall.

I also have a month and more of flowering to do and this one plant will def. be taller than the light. I dont think it'll be a problem cause light will still penetrate the lower leaves.

  4. Tie a stick to it like a splint. And train down the tip of the plant a day or 2 later, so the plant dosnt burn.

I dont have pics, but i hope this helps.
After the stem looks like it has healed(if you werent too late).Could take a few weeks. Romove the tie at the tip of the plant.

Then try to LST. When you tie a string to the base of the plant, tie it above the break.
Tie down the top gradualy, only a tiny bit a day.
You probably wont be able to get it at a 90*angle but it should stop the plant from burning. Good luck.

  5. Im gonna take a small stick and put it right near the bend and tie it on the stem to straighten that certain part out it should be able to stand on its own after that.

After that im going to see how it grows probably let it go as tall as it wants til it hits the ceiling then pull it down.
