LST questions

on my 2nd grow and im a little confused about LST and just started to LST my 2nd grow.

1. does LST affect plant growth in any way such as slowing it/stunting it? i read it doesn't but i've LST'd these plants 1 in particular and it doesn't seem to be growing as rapidly as it was before i LST'd. it has the 2 new main stems already but they seem to be struggling to push any new growth out. the 2 new main stems are struggling to push their 3rd nodes out for past 2-3 days already.

2. what parts do you want to REALLY tie down. i've mostly been tying down the main stems only because thats where the buds will eventually form and the inner nodes i believe as well but so far the inner nodes on these plants are super small. on my main plant #1 i topped it and since the 2 main stems are big i LST'd those 2 main stems to kind of open it up more but on my #2 and #3 plants i just recently topped them but started to LST them as well but since the new main stems are small for now i just LST'd the regular main stem to kind of start to form the shape and get more light into the inner nodes.

im not sure if im doing it correctly or what i understand the general concept of why people LST and how but they really don't seem to explain much otherwise. some i see with just a bunch of ties on them looks like they LST'd the nodes as well not just the main stems so im a little confused on it.

plant #2 and #3 they just got topped not too long ago but i can already see their new main leads growing.

Sorry for the blurple and plants leaves look like they over watered as well not sure if it's due to over watering issue or because i sprayed them for thrips and fungus gnats which wasn't too bad. I could use any advice on my LST/questions/plants in general they are about 19 days old since sprouting.

besides the slow growth from the main plant they seem to be going fine just really slow for my liking not sure if im doing something wrong or what

 

thanks im mainly worried about the growth of the plants. the big one with the 2 main stems has been growing like crazy but it's struggling just to push out the 3rd nodes on those new main leads. the 2 other ones i can see are growing the new leads just fine for now but worried they are stunted or something. put these plants through hell doing all sorts of new things topping, LST, feeding huge dosages of nutrients, topping extremely young, etc.. they seem to handle it pretty good though

 

i topped my biggest plant when it was only 4 nodes. the 2 smaller ones i topped at i think 6 nodes in. idk though just gonna wait it out and see where things go from here. does LST cause slow growth? i read it doesn't do anything to the plant but i assume it would slow it down but not stunt it

yea forgot what it was called XD read that article pretty much answered most of my questions. guess time to leave mine alone for a while then LST them more.
