1. i'm bored on a 3 day w/e and this is whats going on. this grow was started when the lowryder #2 seeds arrived from attitude.

this is the setup...
4'x4'x8' closet. 8 light fixtures with splitters. 16 27 watt cfl's (1,750 lumens per bulb), 432 watts total. 6500k spectrum for veg.
3/11/10
LR #2 Seeds arrived. Started germinating 5 seeds in a wet paper towel in a ziplock baggie. Put on vent. Camera broke 3/10 L.

3/12/10
All 5 seeds have cracked. Transplanted to jiffy peat pods in humidity trey, placed in closet.
3/20/10
Of the 5 LR #2 seeds that initially sprouted only 2 have survived. They are doing well in the jiffy pellets.

3/25/10
Started germinating 5 remaining LR #2 seeds in paper towel and plastic bag. Set baggie on vent.
3/26/10
Transplanted 1st 2 LR plants into 1 gallon containers. Pots contain newspaper, a scoop of perlite, then filled with FFOF. Watered thoroughly. All 5 seeds have sprouted, some with more vigor than others. One seedling is noticeably slower to develop the tap root. Left seedlings in paper towel in the baggie until they develop a little further. Gave bs to a friend.
3/27/10
Added mylar and built a reflector.

Two seedlings have cracked the surface of their jiffy pods. One was touching the humidity trey lid so it was transplanted into a 1 gallon pot, watered thoroughly and set under the lights. The other seedling will be transplanted tomorrow. The 1st 2 LR #2 plants are coming along well although they seem a little small.

3/31/10
Day 1 for the 2 new arrivals seeking light. It's day 15 (or so) for the 2 survivors in the initial batch since cracking soil. Day 19 or 20 since they cracked the shell. P2 has shown pistils (I think). P1 looks to be male, unsure as of yet. It was the stronger grower of the two. Made a trey for the floor. Room is pretty well setup minus intake/exhaust, not sure if it'll be needed yet.

Left lights on while I completed the floor and did some other alterations. Lights were to go off at 1pm and on at 7pm. Light cycle will be as follows: on @ 5pm - 11am, and off @ 11am - 5pm to compensate for the heat of the day. Watering will be water only (or very diluted grow big) for newest seedlings until sex is determined. Plant 1 and 2 will start a diluted tiger bloom solution next watering (Friday). While I was at it, I transplanted 2 of the newer seedlings into 1 gallon pots. 3 are above ground with cotyledons. 2 are still working their way out of the jiffy pellets (will probably be added to the list of 3 seedlings that almost were already)

4/1/10
3:30pm. Checked on them when I shouldn't have. Hopefully it won't hurt them. P1 and P2 both look to have pistils. I will check them again after work. Need to figure out nutes. Need water jugs, advice. Need to check bs.
4/2/10
Checked bs, all seems to be ok. Bought 2 42w 2700k lights at wally world for $8.44 ea., and a new digital timer. Took my old timer and used it for the bs grow.
4/3/10
Almost 100% sure both P1 & P2 are females. Thick pistils are showing everywhere and no pollen sacks as of yet. Their pots were light and dry so I gave them ¾ of a teaspoon to a gallon of water of Tiger Bloom to see how they react to nutes. They split a ½ gallon of the solution. Directions call for 2-3 teaspoons per feeding. If the solution doesn't burn the plants, next feeding will be 1 ¼ teaspoons. Probably should have transplanted before next feeding. Need to transplant all from 1 gallon pots next week.
The 3 seedlings that have broken the surface are still alive. One looks to have its seedpod securely attached. I tried to free it with a razor blade to no avail yet. The other 2 are coming along nicely. Before feeding they should be set into the 3 gallon pots to avoid another transplant after flowering has begun. After the transplant to the final pots, feed with ½ the directed amount of Grow Big.
2 of the slowest seedlings are still in jiffy pellets. I think I may have killed one when I accidentally pulled the seed pod from the tap root. I left it there just in case. Uncovered the other seedling to get it a bit of light but there is still no vertical growth yet. If they die that will make 5 seeds that didn't make it out of the ground. Tap roots on all, but either I planted them too early after the emergence of the tap root or maybe they should be soaked 1st next time.

3. Bump, good look on the response. Im subbed and following. keep us posted!

4. Looking good.

5. i'll update with some pics tonight after work.

6. 4/4/10
There has been good growth on P1 and 2. ½ of an inch, maybe more. The other 2 seedlings are fine. The sprout with the helmet head looks to have dried up. 4 of 10 lived passed the point of sprouting cotyledons. I bought more 2700k bulbs, 3-26w, and 1-42w bulb. The light rig is now split with 6500k and 2700k bulbs. 4-42w, 4-26w 2700k bulbs for 272 total watts on P1 & 2. 208w of 6500k bulbs are on the other 2 survivors. No ill side effects from the tiger bloom, unless you count pistils. Will definitely up the dosage next feeding which looks to be soon.

Day 24 since P1 & 2 have cracked their shells.
4/6/10
Day 25. Added 3 more 42w cfl's, added 6” inline fan (250 cfm) to the exhaust. Tried cardboard for the access panel, and used the air hockey fan (4”) for the intake. We'll see how it goes. Transplanted P1 & 2 to their final 3 gallon pots. Left the cardboard in the panel for an hour and the heat was steadily rising. Inline fan is not cutting it. Mounted 8” fan to the wall to push air into the 2” x 10” exhaust vent. Pulled the cardboard down and left a 4” gap at the top of the acess panel to increase flow.

7. had to flush P4 yesterday....started to yellow a bit. P3 looks fine, and had the same dose of nutes on the same day. P1 & 2 are starting to fill out a little more and have gained some height. today just so happens to be payday so i'll be grabbing a few more 42w 2700k cfl's. here's some pics of the girls and the kiddies....

Nothing new today just a little more growth……2am…. I just flushed P4. It had some yellowing starting to begin. It was given 2 gallons of tap water. P3 looks to have a milder case developing; I'll let it ride this out. No more nutes until sexing. I adjusted the fans, and intake panel. Removed cardboard, and set 8” fan in the opening after putting in cardboard panels to insure there are no light leaks. Temps have fallen to acceptable levels.

4/9/10
Started germing the WW in a baggie. Seed looks fucked already but trying anyway. Watered P1 & 2 with regular tap water. Added another 42w cfl, that makes 8 - 42w bulbs total. Backed lights off to about 5”.
4/10/10
Started blue widow.
4/11/10
Day 29. Nice buds forming. Good verticle growth on both P1 & 2.
4/12/10
12am…Day 30 for P1 & 2. P3 & 4 are coming along nicely. K's clone is rooting in 2 or 3 spots. Transplanted to perlite and a pepsi bottle with lid to raise the humidity (homemade humidity dome). Blue widow cracked the seed pod with about a ½” tap root. It was put into a jiffy pod and it was put in a pepsi bottle with lid also.
10pm…P4's yellowing seems to be dissipating. everything looks fine as at the moment... anyone have any ideas on what to build a carbon scrubber for a 6" fan out of? the smell hasn't been an issue yet but P1 is starting to smell nice. anyone know why i can only post 4 pics at once? i'd post more but i'm missing some security token or some shit.

10. it's pretty cool and simple actually, and fairly adjustable. i can make it wider if it need to be but not skinnier. it's not all that big either. it's only 22" long and 11" across. i could add more lights if i made it wider but atm it works well. it was initially designed to be in a rubbermaid stealth grow but i didn't need to be as stealthy as i thought so i have it lighting a 4x4 closet. my goal is to fill all 16 slots with the 42w cfl's which would be 672 watts with 43200 lumens. if i went with the 65 watt lights from lowes and fill the rack, i'd have over a 1000 watts of cfl's. :hello:...... can't go wrong with that, although the efficiency isn't as good as hps at that wattage. it was built for less than $25, not including the bulbs obviously.

this is what the girls see...

BW has cracked the surface. Has a hint of purple on the cotyledons and stem.
4/14/10
BW was transplanted into a 1 gallon pot. Seems to have stretched a bit in the bottle. Put it's pot on top of another pot to get it closer to the lights. P1 & 2 are just over 8” tall. Almost an inch of growth in 2 days. P2's buds are starting to close the gaps between the nodes along the stem.

Can anyone tell me whats wrong with the plant in the last pic? it seems to be getting better but i'm not sure.

And now some bud....

12. raised the lights about 4". P1 & 2 were watered with big bloom. i think P3 is showing some balls. can anyone verify this for me?

13. Doesn't look good but give it a few. See if more grow, balls plural, I see one calyx.

14. that's all i see too. i plan on isolating him and collecting the pollen for either the blue widow or if at all possible, knock of 1 of the 2 girls i have up. here's a couple more pics from today.

17. ty....it's pretty easy to get nice buds when you have 500+ watts on what amounts to only 2 flowering plants. i can't wait to start experimenting with cross breeding....just took adavantage of the attitudes 420 offer....got 6 seeds a t-shirt and a mug for $40. 4 of the seeds were free. :)

18. very nice! nice lighting rack, i may end up doing something similar in my dresser/cabinet.
