Lower leaves getting yellow spots all over/some browning

  1. I am a first time grower and I am growing an Afghan plant. It is almost two feet tall now and until lately has been looking great. The soil is some my mom gave me cause she grows too but Im not sure what kind it is. She has been growing for 15+ years so Im sure its good soil.

I think my problem may be that I over fertilized my plant. I use Miracle grow indoor with 24-10-10 or something similar to those numbers. I do know the nitrogen is 24 for sure.

I bought two gallon bottles of distilled water from the grocery store. The one bottle I mixed in the small scoop part of miracle grow like the directions said and the other is plain water. I usually water every 3 days and switch off water/fert/water/fert.

The other day my plant looked saggy and droopy so I soaked it with the Miracle grow solution (about twice as much as I usually water it with) and now it has yellow spots on most of the lower and on some of the midway up leaves. Also two leaves had burn looking brown marks on the side of them. That was 3 days when I watered them. If I just use regular water for the next 3 or so waterings will that help? Any input would be helpful. Thanks guys.

  2. you have poisoned the plant

you need to flush your plant to leech out the excess ferts
Flush with PH corrected water, till in optimum PH range, 3 times the volume of the pots rule of thumb but may require much more flushing if the rootball is thick & sour
EG: 1 gal pot = 3 gal. flush

after the plant recovers here is the MG ferts amounts

    Vegatative cycle fertilizer
Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food (they make several fertilizers be sure its this one)

    Fertilizer Analysis: 24-8-16 with micronutrients
2 level "Teaspoons" per gallon of water, (reduce this by 50% first time application) use this as your water, feed every other watering till flowering

    Flowering cycle
I recommend Fertilome, Root Stimulator and plant starter....
    the NPK is perfect: 4-10-6
2 teaspoons per gallon of water every other watering........ use this as your water ...discontinue use 3-4 weeks prior to harvest...flush last 2 weeks...I also like to add 1 tablespoon of unsulphured molasses to the last gallon of the flush......thats it no more water .....
