low-effort grow question

  1. I live in California (Bay Area) and was planning on planting some seeds outdoors this season. However, I won't be able to attend to the plants at all this summer. I was hoping that if I planted my crop, set up a fence (for animals) and simply came back to the plants in the fall, I'd have something to harvest. I know that I would have to have a very secretive location and they probably wouldn't be all that potent because they'd basically just be growing as they would in the wild. Do you guys think that the weed from these plants would at least be suitable for cooking with, if not smoking?

  2. try it n let us know...its a weed for god sake, make it prove it!

as for the potency thing, dont worry so much about it, the sun will do ya good!

  3. Is there anything else that you think I should take into account since I won't be attending to my crop? (ie. should I plant close to a stream since I won't be able to water it?) Do you think that my plants will get enough rain from the natural bay area climate? It seems like plants in general grow well around here so I'm not too concerned.

  4. dude you need someone to water those things...get a trusted friend maybe a cousin that smokes? i dunno someone you trust alot and have him or her water it and youll be fine...but you might need something to protect your plant from insects

  5. Damn man so you're saying that if I can't water them they'll be no good? I mean there are plenty of other plants in the area where I intend to grow and they all do just fine. Keep in mind I realize that this isn't going to be incredible bud, I'm just hoping for something.

What can I do for insects?

  6. dude, do plants grow in the wild??? damn right they do, if its not an arid place, the plant will work its own kinks out.

light is the key, a nice airy sunny area is best.

look up spanishflys garlic pesticide thing, garlic keeps animals and insects away pretty well. its something to to do with garlic and butter of some sort so it wont wash off the area.

look up some of the outdoor grows on here, im sure youll find some better answers... especially considering how bad sirsmokealots tips were to ya.
