Low and slow drying technique? Please help!

  1. Hi all
I in the process of preparing to dry my second indoor harvest next week. My last harvest, i dried at 65f 60% rh and that took about 5 days and was slightly drier at curing, with an rh of 55%. L...I was wondering if any of you have experience with drying at even lower temps and a higher rh with increased air flow? Would this increase the amount of time for drying? If low and slow is best for smoking meat, then would low and slow be best for drying...smokes? Lol

  2. I heard that an rh of under 50% is preferred. Like 40% is the ideal. Then again, there's a lot of bad advice out there.
I do find your results encouraging, though, because most days aren't very dry around these parts. What sort of air circulation do you use?

  3. I use 2 mini fans (top right corner, mid left corner) and 1 16in oscillating fan (on the floor). The room is about 3ft wide and 6ft long

  4. I'll take all the weed you can dry me at 55rh/65f. Your starting experimentation departure point is my goal. Our weather in my neighborhood varies greatly season to season with 4 days (one in each season) a year being perfect. All others are classified as interesting bitches. It does however create a varied pot cellar. And in spite of what they tell you, pot dried at 80f/90%rh, will get you stoned if you can burn it. If I were you I would find a new thing to improve rather than seeing what messing with perfection does to a flower. Is there anything in your life that is not perfect?

  5. Well...i just lost my mother yesterday...that's an imperfection in my life...but not really sure how I could improve that.....but thanks for that choice of words in your reply to my post regarding input about drying temps and humidity....i guess -__-

  6. Sure there’s a thread called “ziggys low and slow drying technique” or something very similar. They do it in the fridge. Never paid much attention as not something I’d ever try but seen enough people mention they do it with no complaints.

  8. Mothers stay with you forever. Mine was always there, even when I was away. Now she is here, even when she is away. Your drying setup sounds perfect.
