lots of problems

    hi all
    right i brought some cheap seeds 2 see how hard it was 2 grow befor i start my good 1's i started wiv 6 now have 1 due 2 over watering. the 1 i have got is growing but very slowly some 1 told instead of use tube lights to use the engery saver bulbs cos they give off more light and are cheaper so i have 2x 20w engery saver bulbs about 4ins above the plant are these bulbs ok 2 use if so have i got enough. also so the tips of my leaves are turning a yellow/brown if u touch them they turn 2 dust its start from the bottom of the plant and working its way up this was befor i started 2 fed them wiv micale grow. its been growing for about a month and a half and is only about6/7ins tall can anyone help as i dont want 2 start my best seeds until i have got my shit right lol cheers

    First off DONT feed anymore, That yellow crumbly leaf is from overfeeded or feeding to soon, You should flush the soil really well then let it recover..

    The two 20w lights you have are fine BUT nowhere near enough for a whole grow, I currently have three 26w/cfls and three 40w tubes working fine for now on three plants but i will upgrade when flower time come to a 400wHID..

    Also with the cfls you want them only 1-2 inches away..

    cheers 4 the help wiv the lights will set some more up. but u said the yellow leaves where from over feeding or feeding 2 early but i had that problem befor i started feed im using a gd top soil and perlite at about 60/40

    i've flashed th soil and im installing 2 more lights 2mozs ive add a pc fan just 2 keep the air moving. but im reading alot about get fresh air into 2 ur grow space but as mine is a carboard im findin this very hard there is a window in the room but on the other side and its mine and the missus room lol so cant go 2 mad wiv pipes running every where. this is my new frow cupboard try 2 set it up better after reading stuff on here cheers

    1 gallon (4.5L) water + 1KG (2.2lb) sugar + yeast + warmth = continuous CO2.
    Position the brew above your intake vent. Stir daily. Replace water+sugar every 7-14 days.

    Maybe swap some sugar for fruit juice, and en-joy the produce!

    i find this on some 1s replay dose any 1 no who much yeast and is the any certain types and wat sort of temp cheers

    Before you worry about CO2, you need to worry about your plant surviving.

    First, you need a thermometer that'll tell you the max temps reached in your space. Very cheap and available, and essential.

    Second, reflectors for the lights, and get them closer.

    Third, get air movement inside the space, and air moving through it (exhaust).

    Fourth, stop overwatering and overfeeding them. I'm betting your soil has time-release nutes in it- get different stuff next time. Don't use Miacle Grow, you're nute burning your plants. Seedlings don't need to be fed for the first 2-3 weeks.

    thanks im goin 2 stop useing micale grow all together im all so going 2 add 2 more bulbs. as 4 the water i think this is how im kill them im watering them every 2 days but the soil is still normal damp on up. so how much and how offen roughly do i water as im a bit confussed cos i thought that they can live wiv there rots in water e.g hydro

    plus will be gettin a thermometer

    You should wait till the top two inches are tottaly dry, just stick your finger in and check.. YOu def wanna give them roots time to air out between waterings to prevent root rot..
    Add as much light as you can just get them with within 2-3 inches of the tops..

    i have 2 more questions

    1. my temp is about 78/80 f is this ok
    2. ive just start 2 other seeds in tissue there roots come though and ive just moved them in 2 pots cover the top in cling film as i read ur not 2 water seeds but i place in my grow room cos its a bit warmer and it will get light as soon as the top comes through the soil is this ok so far
