Very very windy day yesterday! One of my ladies has a lot of lateral branching, I topped her a few times really early on, so she has 6 main stems/kolas. I had to put 3 stakes in and have fastened the main stems/kolas to the steaks, my question is what can I do with all this lateral growth everywhere. It's only this one plant that's like this too! The bottom right corner of the pic is another plant
I've topped a plant too many times too it doesn't help that it's in a corner.. I would gently bend them and tie them down to keep the hight down.
You do not tie the tree too tightly because it will affect its growth. It should be equal to but the elastic band can be stretched so that its development is more pronounced.
