I am growing four plants and they are in their sixth week of flower. I used the same soil and same nutrients for all four. I've been watering them every three or four days. My two Sour Diesels are fine, but after not checking them for four days I went in and the other two, the gorilla glues, look like they are dead!! The leaves are brown, dry, and shriveled and I can't tell the color of the colas, but I think they are ruined too it looks like. The only thing that got out of control was the heat in the room they are in. It was up around 85. There is good air circulation in the room. Should I cut my losses and cut the two gorillas down or is there any way to salvage? What in the heck could have caused this in such a short period of time and why only on the Gorilla Glues? So very strange. Never had this happen before. Sad it happened so close to harvest.
Idk if its the camera angle or patches of bud rot? If not id say heat related Sent from my SM-J727P using Tapatalk
How did it get all over two plants separated and not the other two plants right next to them? You are thinking bud rot? If that is the case, I'm cutting them and disposing of them so the other two plants don't get affected. I have a horrible time trying to tell what the look like visually because of color blindness. Green looks brown to me.
Hash bag if u want, but i think @smokeout69 is correct. I think it looks like a Fusarium infection though. Take a closer look at the stalk and see if there's some weird growth choking out the plant. Sometimes you can see it, maybe at the base of the stalk.
Some strains are more resilient than others, even to the point of being immune. It may benefit you to add some beneficial mycorrhizae to your potting mix in the future. To add some information regarding Fusarium, this fungi attacks the plant's vascular system and disrupts water/nutrient circulation.
I hate to give up on them after almost four months but all the leaves are dried up and crumbly and the buds don't look right. Damn...right at harvest time. I don't get it. It is NOT cool in the room it is warm...maybe too warm..but very well ventilated. I usually keep it at 75 but it has been up to 85. I find it very strange the GG was affected but not the Sour Diesel. It says on seed website GG is really easy to grow. Not for me. Died in the last few weeks. Maybe needed more water or less heat. Surely it was getting all the nutrients...following the General Hydroponics recommendation like I always have done without any problems until now.
You think it is fungas too TrojanG? Or is it just maybe lack of water and too much heat? I added a few more photos.
I am very bummed out for sure. This is my sixth or seventh grow and never have had this happen before with a variety of seeds. You know how much work it is to grow them for four months in a small operation. I just want to make darn sure it does not happen again but I'm not 100% sure of the cause yet.
I lost a plant to a similar catastrophe on Dec 31st (New Year's Eve). I didn't have the heart to take the final pictures. Its heart breaking when it happens but it happened for a reason. Only you know what conditions she was in. It appears your plants have stopped feeding. Why? the roots, or the vascular system. Why? Either harsh conditions (drought/excess salinity) or rot. I've upp'd my game this year and regard beneficial organisms much more seriously. And bonus (!) not only do beneficial organisms protect from rot, but also protect from heat and drought stress (in the case of fungis) and nutrient uptake and phosphate recycling (endosymbiotic bacteria/rhizobacteria), which relates to increased yields. A bag of (Mikes) Rhizo costs $5 and will pot 6 plants. Other brands can cost quite a bit though, like Mammoth P, Voodoo Juice, etc. As far as what you have, there's no evidence that the product itself is contaminated. If you are familiar with some extract making, rosen, hash, better yet honey oil, then I'd dry the weed, make sure its not gone to mold and use it or store it up. If there's mold during the drying/curing stage, chuck it.
well so much for that theory. idk man, still looks like rot though. That sucks, and I'm sorry for you. I know how it feels. The only other time I had something like this happened is when I overstuffed my two 2x4 tents (scrogging) and tried using one fan to pull from both, and lo'behold one tent suffocated... but that's not the case here since that would have affected your other plants.
