Well my phone is jailbroken and I wanted to change the default icons. So a few months ago my stupid ass goes straight into the files and replaces the default icons with the new ones, rather than making a package and running it through Winterboard. So the default icons are gone for good. Now I want to update to ios5. If I were to update the software then restore from my backup, what would happen? Would it give me new default icons?
Only one way to find out I suppose. When I was customizing images and stuff like that, I did have a bunch of my modifications survive a restore from backup. I had to go back in and undo my changes. Maybe the update to IOS5 will do the trick? I restored only; no update.
Better restore as a new iPhone and just re put all your shit on there. Don't do it from the old restore. It will probably mess it up.
