Hello all, I'm pretty new to the forum but we are cat people around here. We have 4 today after our loss, and what an unfortunate circumstance it was. We took in 2 cats from a family member who passed about a year ago. The cats were living with us for a bit before she passed so they have been members of our extended furry family for about a year and a half now. We noticed Jamaica acting a little funny last night and were planning to take her to the vet at about 1:15 PM today, but she had what appeared to be a stroke at about noon. She was a city cat who was plucked away from her mommy to live out the last year of her life in a more rural area where she could stretch out and play a tad. Smoke and vibes are appreciated, it's me, my wife to be and the in laws along with the other cats and our big oaf of a dog, Bailey. Rest easy 'Maica, say hi to your mommy and Jerry Garcia for me ;-)
Sucks dood! I had my golden retriever of 13 years die in my lap, still probably the top two hardest moments of my life and the first was a parent. I'm not a big fan of cats but A love loss is a loved lost. My heart goes out to you and yours.
