Looking to buy new bong, preferably RooR

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by izzyiderp, Dec 22, 2012.

  1. I am looking to purchase a RooR, not just any old one though, I want to get a custom one, one that looks beautiful, and hits just as good as the looks. I have my eyes on this custom Fairmaster, but I want some other options, if any of you can help with the selection, that would be great! Here's the Fairmaster I had my eye on, it's called the Fairmaster 5.0 Black Widow. Looks fucking sexy.

  2. I bet this guy is serious lol

  3. Pre-tty serious after getting ripped off two weeks ago.

  4. Id spend another two becoming familiar with funtional glass before you do so again

  5. All straight tubes with a simple diffuser will hit the same. Roors aren't any smoother just because it has a roor label. I would suggest getting a quality non-roor straight tube, and then get a quality diffuser. Alex k showerhead and Luke Wilson 6 arm tree downstems are very nice. You could spend about 100 dollars, maybe a little more and get a way better piece. Just my two cents.

Edit: I can understand wanting a Roor to add to a high quality glass collection. But if you're looking for functionality look elsewhere.

  6. Thank you so much

  7. Seriously man a diffused downstem in a 80 dollar piece will percolate EXACTLY THE GOD DAMN SAME as a roor with the same downstem. Only difference in roor is the crafmanship and like i said in your other thread alot of them have diffused pierced hole downstems.

  8. Yeah man that pipe is sick, solid old school heavy hitter. The roor diffy is good too, you wouldn't need to replace it. Too much diffusion steals all the taste.

Can't recommend it if your poor but if you have a few bucks to throw around you won't be disappointed.

  9. That seems like it would be like 500 plus for a roor. I have one that I love but for that type of money you could a sov Stem8 or a mobius stemless tube. If your a hardcore roor fan (I know a few), then yeah, get that custom beast.

For the price of one roor i can buy 2 extremely nice local glass on glass bongs from my lhs

  11. Can't say this enough. Get a Sovereignty Stem/8. They are considered to be some of the best flower pieces on the market today. And sorry OP, some people on this forum are very rude. Yeah we get it, ROOR's are way overpriced and I'm not a fan of them either. But people shouldn't have to be assholes about it.

  12. You make it sound like getting a Stem8 is an easy task....

  13. Ha, yeah, I often forget not everyone lives around Denver. :bongin:

  14. I've been a fan of glass blowing for quite some time now. It's about the art for me. Something that'll be presentable to friends and such, but I also wanted a good piece that won't diffuse too much. Thanks for the info everyone. I'll be diggin' deeper into what I get before I buy anything instead of being ignorant like I was before.

  15. LOL isn't it getting harder every day?

  16. Not for long from what I read in the SG appreciation thread.
