  2. Ill give you the tip, just the tip, and only until the swelling goes down.

Why change to autos? I started with autos and wont be going back. Might run one here or there just for fun but im sticking to photos. Way better control and overall quality.

Well photos have been good to me. I’m just doing it for fun. Just curious about them. I got a batch of photos in the flowering stage right now.

  5. Advice for going Autoflowers...
    1. Start them in the pot that you plan to finish them in, but be careful not to overwater at first
    2. Don't overfeed them, which is easier to do than with photoperiod plants
    3. Go easy on the training, especially in the beginning because they won't have time to bounce back before they start flowering
    4. Definitely get seeds from a well established breeder because new strains tend to be a little "unstable" genetically
    5. Don't expect a huge yield per plant, or you'll probably be disappointed

  6. Everyone has there own way to grow auto, I do Start mine in the pot I going to use, I use 5 gallon air pots and usual get 6 o/z per plant. Get mephisto seeds or fast buds both have perform well for me. The key is not to over water starting out, and I top them at about day 18 which is the 5th node. Good luck and happy growing.

  7. Thanks for the replies guys. I literally just planted them in a solo cup and might of over watered them already lol

6 oz a plant is not bad at all. I would be happy if that’s the yield. I know results vary lol.

So do I start giving it the flowering nutes once I start seeing signs of pistols?

  8. I use 3 part masterblend start to finish, you have grown before so just use what you have learned and put it to the autos.

  9. Autos are a waste of time to me. but does make for an easy grow

I’d rather grow my plants to where I want to flip them vs not having control -
But the plant seems to yield pretty decent as pictured

  10. Forget autos. U can't control them. I drop a 5 pack and 3 will flower like day 25-30 and the other 2 may take 45-60 days to flower. So that's no way to grow perpetual. Only time I grew them was when they were a giveaway or I like to use them in spring outside. They don't care that the daylight is longer each day and over 13 hours. So I don't have to cover them or bring them in at like 12 hours of light

  11. In my eyes, that is the only real place for autos.

  12. I have a ton of auto freebies I've never grown out. I don't have the space or light power in veg side to grow them real well

  13. All I can say about autos is they have treated me very well. As long with photos they treated me well also, grow what works for you, they all produce potent flowers.

  14. Gotta love the folks that either get bad genetics or just don't know what they're doing and proceed to spend the rest of their lives badmouthing autos. Autos have treated me very well too, for those of us with limited time and space they are fantastic.

  15. Well there's nothing wrong with autos if they're stable and do what they're supposed to when they're supposed to. It seems to me like half the strains out there take at least 80 days. so you're not saving a hell of a whole lot of time Plus you're going to have your lights on for 20 hours a day the whole Grow versus 12 for 2/3 of the grow

  16. I have grown a few fast flowers before and I kind of thought that was better. I've had some done start to finish in like 70 days. I've grown some good Dutch passions mephisito. Plus all of the feeding charts out there for beginners don't tell you how to do it with autos. So a beginner is not going to know exactly how to feed an auto say with Fox farms or even like I use nectar for the Gods

  17. But as far as quality I didn't see a whole lot of difference between feminized or autos. But I grow regs now and seems to me like you get better genetics like the ogs have always said

  18. I badmouth autos because photos have just treated me so much better. I got decent yield from autos but the quality just wasnt on part with photos and the genetics seem incredibly unstable. Ive got a pack of Mephesto skywalker and im gonna give them one last shot but even at that the only use i see for them is to grow them while im vegging photos or outdoors because its usually snowing by mid october here.

I've said many times that photos are better in almost every way. But that doesn't mean autos don't serve a purpose and work wonders for a lot of people. My goal when I respond to people is to try to objectively help them with their situation, whatever it may be. Saying "I do this, so its the only thing to do" does not help anyone, so why bother? Growing marijuana is not one size fits all. People with that attitude make it super difficult for new growers to find success and its sad.

  20. 1354ED92-2F37-41A5-BA8F-058FCC54579A.jpeg I love autos. And photos. It’s just cool watching how fast autos grow with minimal effort. Someone mentioned feeding being different…. I agree. I just use 1/4 strength nutrients (I use fox farms trio) through veg and first signs of flowering I switch to 1/2 strength + bloom booster.

I’m actually in the middle of a candy kush auto grow now…. They’re about 2 weeks from harvest. Check out my journal!

I’ve found the most challenging part about doing autos indoor is ending up with two different plants/ phenotypes. I thought I was growing 4 candy kush, but it turns out at least two of them are completely different. Smell, growth, size, and flowering period. Two of mine are a full 10” taller and it’s been challenging keeping and even canopy. I LST’d and have things decently under control, but it’s worth mentioning to someone who’s just starting out.
