Looking for tips and advice PAX 2

Throw out the flat mouthpiece and use the raised one. (It should come with both). It takes some getting used to and will burn your lips a little bit while you get the technique down.

I usually go with the 2nd highest temp, but it really comes down to preference and quality and your grind.

It's super easy to clean. I usually get about 2 weeks out of a charge, and use that as my cue to swab the oven and the draw-tube out and soak the screen and mouthpiece in isopropyl. It'll be quite a while before cleaning it out doesn't make it look new again.

Any questions feel free to ask. I've had mine a little over a year and use it daily.

Free advice: this thing starts to absolutely reek after a short time. Just keeping a partially vaped load in it will stink up a room. I like to keep a low profile, so I generally only carry it out if I'm going to be around people who already know I like weed.

Lol mine goes dead every day I was using it a lot fun thing. Here's what I noticed.

-Grind it well! The smaller the better. Good cure,other wise you'll get a crackling and popping(heating the water).
-Pack it tight. It gets a much better vale when it's pushed in there. I have a metal price with a flat head that I can pack it in.
-Gets dirty easy pipe cleaners work well. Keep lube the top mouth part some times gets stuck if you don't oil it. Also some times it will eject like a rocket.
-Doesn't contain smell well at all. I know after a vape if you have in pocket it's all you will smell.
-Like said above 2nd temp is best. It's still hot so draw slow and it's a bit harder.
-Turn your vape mat. Use a small pointy thing and mix up the vape half way through. Other wise you'll start to get black vape material. I like to keep mine an even brown and save the vape material. It works great for baking or if you get low you can smoke it. Won't be as strong but it will help you get through.

The thing is a tank. I have dropped it a number of times.. It's very well built. Also if you roll it (like a joint) it will go into party mode and start flashing different colors. Just small Easter egg.

I (and most users) recommend the flat mouthpiece. One poster above went against this, but he's definitely in the minority. If you look across the web, most people rail against the raised piece for collecting heat too easily, and for being less discrete. With the flat piece, you can conceal the vape in your hand vertically while hitting it in public, and no one will notice.

The Pax2 works best with finely ground herbs. I use two grinders when prepping for the Pax: a metal four-piece, and then the MFLB finishing grinder. The latter turns it into basically a powder.

Then you have to fully fill the oven, and pack it really tight. This will require about .4 g of herb, unfortunately, but it will last you two or three long sessions. You'll get a ton of thick, tasty vapor this way. Start on heat level 2, and do a session on that. Then flip the herbs in the oven so the green stuff touches the heating element, turn up to level 3 and vape another session later. Repeat for level 4.

If you want to use less material, get a Pax Pusher from NewVape.

Clean it after every 5 sessions, or it won't work well. Alcohol, pipe cleaners, and cue tips are all you need.

Agreed! Though I clean mine after every charge - the cleaner the better!

 

I got the Pax 2 in gold in February 2016 so I'm still getting used to it but FUCKiLOVEiT!

I'm sure I'm in the minority with this, but I don't grind my contents finely, i just break it down well just as I would if I were rolling.

I do Stir up the contents of the oven(usually use an ink pen cap) after so many uses. So far I haven't had any issues and clean up is easier.
