This is my first time posting here at Grass City Anyways, I have 1 female plant starting to flower down here in Florida, here are the details of the grow: The plant is in a fairly large clay pot by itself. I use terracycle garden fertilizer "liquefied worm poop" every week or so, I add some to the water. The soil is a mixture of: perlite "jungle" organic potting soil local "florida" sand various no-name soils I've been letting this pot of soil sit for a few months to let some of the stuff I add break down, I've added: some coffee grounds 3-4 eggshells a chunk of dog shit every once in awhile, lol various compost a good sized handful of this plant food I forgot the name of, it was just general use plant food, and this was 2-3 months ago I also have a few small pictures (sorry cell phone) but I plan on taking detailed shots tomorrow with a digital camera. Also, there was a bad storm the night before last night and the plant was in bad shape the next morning (3rd pic). That morning I staked the plant back up and cleaned it off a little but had to leave for work. When I returned that day the plant looked much better (4th pic) but it had a number of very small ants around the base of the stem, I sprayed a little vinegar around the soil(not directly on any leaves !) and they seemed to disappear. My only concern now is how over-saturated the soil is and the ants, I was wanting to try LST with this plant but I think that it is to small now(?).
i also had ant problem at one time, what i did was plants were sitting on ground, sat plants up on concrete stepping stones, saturated stones with ant spray, i think it was raid, with lasting 60 days on can and also sprayed outside of container being careful not to get on plant or dirt and have not had ants since, at one point they were up in plant and trails going in and out of pot, not sure what they were interested in i think maybe honey nute i was using, also in april we had a hail storm went through like armageddon and had 6 plants completely pulverized and i managed to bring back 5 of them 3 plants i just harvested and 2 more that have about a month left, they were saturated and in real poor shape, so i repotted and soil was rotten in bottoms of containers a few days after storm, almost just threw them out and very glad i didn't, i wish i would have taken pics of what they looked like after storm.
Haha, nope I'd be in the backyard mixing the soil around with the shovel and every now and then I'd pick one up with the shovel and toss it in.
!?!??!?!?! This plant is just about dead, the leaves have all started to die, they aren't even turning yellow, just drying up right on the plant. help. . .
you over watered your plant... and never pour water and leave soil on your girl.... thats just lazy... always allow your soil to dry out before you water it again......
