Looking for advice on a 4 x 3 closet flower room please

Discussion in 'Lighting' started by kyle88me, Oct 25, 2018.

  1. Hello I have a 4 x 3 space with 9 foot ceiling. Wondering what are the absolute best lighting conditions I could create. I plan to flower in this space. Right now I have 2 400 watt magnetic induction lights on pullies; they are supposed to be dual spectrum but i believe they are actually 6500k, Im thinking i will use those in my veg room. Any advice helps. I'm doing no till soil and bubble teas btw. Thanks

  2. Check out the new qb96elite v2 engines.

    Two HLG-320H-54a drivers ($90-$100 each)

    And four qb96elite v2 engines ($100 each)

And you’re in business for “
    about $1 per watt

  3. Absolute best lighting conditions? I'd throw in 500-600 watts of QB's and maybe a little UV.

  4. How much for the total set up . What’s the width and length?

  5. $100 x 2 = $200
    $100 x 4 = $400
Misc wire, fishing leaders to hang, plug end
    $50

$650 total or less than $1 per watt

  6. So 200 total with driver?

  7. What? It’s all listed above man. $650 ish

  8. Meant to say for 2 lights it’s like 250 . What Meanwell did you use ?

  9. Oh ok, that makes sense. So it’s about $100 for the Meanwell HLG-320H-54a
And $200 for the two qb96elite v2’s. Some wire and aluminum angle, a plug end and your in business

  10. I was thinking maybe double ended 1000 watt air cooled. Would that be enough for the plants to have the best possible indoor conditions? I'm not concerned about price or electricity, looking for best possible quality for the 4 x 3 flower space with 9 foot ceilings.

  11. The combo I originally listed is about 1.5 times stronger

  12. They can be driven to 6000ma when actively cooled. That’s 324 watts each and you’ll have 6. Or you can dim them or buy a lower wattage driver to run it efficiently, dialing in the spread and intensity across the canopy. Just so versatile. You could hang one 24” above a single plant and max it out. You could move each individual light.
