Looking for a solid portable vaporizer. Whats the best?

  1. Right now I have the DBV but it really restricts my movements as I'm stuck next to where it's plugged in.  It has a long wire but it's not something you're going to move around with you.

So I'd like something portable that I could carry with me on the go or just use wherever.  It doesn't need to be ultra small like a MFLB or anything like that. I want something that would fit nicely in the palm of my hand.  That'd I'd be able to grip with one hand and essentially do what I want to.

The Arizer solo has always appealed to me but not sure how great it would be.  My buddy had one but he didn't like it because the hits weren't strong enough.  I want something that has similar quality to the DBV vapor.

Any one's that you'd recommend?  Like I said it doesn't have to be extra small, I'd almost like for it to be on the bigger side, especially if that makes it more efficient. But I'd like for it to have a detachable cord, rechargeable battery.and a good quality vaporizer that can be travelled with.  It doesn't need to fit comfortably in a pocket though,

  3. I have the pax, NO2, MFLB and the ascent. For portable units. I like the ascent the best and the MFLB the least. I use the no2 just for bongs as it is a bit large to be vaping on the go.

  4. That looks awesome but just too expensive.  I can't see myself spending that much.  I'm willing to spend $200 but I don't want to get too crazy.

  5. The Ascent looks nice.  I wonder if I could get it any cheaper.  Does it give big hits and have a good bowl size?

  6. I got them to match a sale price at $225. Vapornation basically runs a sale year round(it seems) so they will match that or you could get it from vapor nation for that price. I think that is the cheapest you will get it with a warranty through davinci. It gives solid vapor for a portable. I would say hit size is comparable to a solo. For large hitting portables I would recommend the firefly, lotus, and the hammer.

  7. The ascent is going for 150 on massdrop, along with a bunch of other vapes.

You should read the discussion's on each drop though to ensure that the warranty is still valid.

  8. The ascent hits well enough for it to come with a bong attachment if you buy it from davinci and a car charger. I have seen a few people complain the bowl is to large and some people add glass flowers to take up space or only fill it a little and smash the oil jar on top of it. The bowl size is fine with me but still only a personal vape or maybe with one friend. I don't think any portable is a good group vape.

  9. i guess you haven't heard of the MiniVap then !

  10. Yea I wouldn't be looking to use it with groups either way.

  11. If you want to get similar to the dbv then imo you should be looking at the butane vapes.  I drive a lotus and I don't think any of the electric portables can touch it for vapor quality (taste/thickness/clouds). It certainly beats both my solo and EQv5 easily.  Best with the wpa and jhook though as the ally stem does reduce taste quite a bit.

  12. Lotus?  No, definitely not.  Wouldn't even consider a butane vape that's nothing like the DBV which uses a ceramic heater.

  13.
Why not if the vapor density and quality are comparable ?

  14. I'm not trying to carry all these things around.  Heating the thing up or whatever.  I want something that is like gripping a can of soda and siipping through a straw.  Something that simple. Turn it on, let it heat up by itself, then load up a bowl and it's just like sipping a straw from a can.  The Arizer Solo and the Ascent is designed like this.  The Lotus is way different.

  15. Hi. How about a Da Vinci vaporizer? For me, it is a great portable vaporizer for both dry herb and essential oils. Its temperature-controlled option makes vaporizing dry herbs a piece of cake. It also provides for a manageable vaporizing experience that allows the user to achieve specific desired effects.

  16. The davinci doesnt do oils well at all.

  17. It's your choice. But I can tell you that my solo is just an expensive paperweight that I sort of wish I'd never bought.   You will get nowhere near the vapor quality that the dbv produces with one.

  18. My solo turned in to an expensive target lol. It was so satisfying to put a bullet through that piece of shit.

  19. I have a Da Vinci and I love it. Looks like a handheld device (like a walkie-talkie) so unless you know what you are looking at, you wouldn't know what it is :D Also if it dies, you can still use it when plugged into the wall.
