I'm currently looking for a nice glass bong/bubbler. I have a pipe, but have tried bongs and highly prefer the bong. I don't have much money, so i'm looking at a price range of 20-40$. Any recommendations would be a big help. Pretty new into smoking as well, been at it for about a month or so.
Go to your local headshop and see if you can find anything withing your price range, my first waterpipe was a "stoneface" grommet waterpipe about 14 inches tall round base got it for i think $60 off the buy one get one shelf, you wont be getting very thick glass either atleast i didnt
20 to 40 bucks isn't gonna get ya to far as far as quality but definately should be able to find somthing at the local shops. best bet would be a medium quality glass bubbler cause in the bong catogory your budget is gonna limit you to ceramic or acrylic.
Theres a 30 dollar acrylic train water pipe my friend got off here. In the picture it was blue but his is green. Seems really solid, you should get it.
I've said it a hundred times, I'll say it again: Wait until you have at least $200 saved to go messing around trying to buy a bong. For anything less you're not going to get the level of enjoyment out of a bong that you expect. And that $200 could include a nice case, as well. A shitty $40 acrylic pipe is going to get so foul (acyrlic absorbs the scent of resin) that you won't even want anymore. A very cheap (less than $100) bong is going to be such thin glass that it's going to break on you within a month or two (I don't care how careful you are).
this guys got the right idea! If you only have 20-40 bucks to spend just grab a simple dry pipe, like a spoon or sherlock. Even most basic bubblers will be out of that price range so a nice dry glass piece is your only real option unless you find something you like better at a local head shop but seriously everybody, acrylic and very low quality glass bongs aren't worth your time or money whatsoever; I hate the idea that somebody might unwittingly buy one of these pieces of shit and be turned off to bongs in general because they had a bad experience with a bad bong. Just don't buy it, save your money until you can get something thats at least somewhat nice I disagree that you need to save up $200 though, my first bong was a mini HVY straight tube (about 13" tall) and it only ran me about 60 bucks, i instantly fell in love with it, and have since moved on to nicer pieces, but I still make use of the HVY quite often. It is very thick glass, probably 5mm, american made, and has made it through hell and back haha. so Highonthetotem, if you think you can't get a decent bong for under 200 you have not looked in the right places haha, these HVY minis are a staple at my LHS!
No point in buying a bong if you're only spending up to $40. Honestly wait until you have atleast $150. If you can't afford a bong at that price then get a pipe or make a gbong.
Hate to break it to everybody above me but you're wrong. I wanted a little travel bong for about the same price and wasn't expecting much. But i got a full GonG with a removable downstem for 35. with some pretty thick ass glass to boot. its only about 10in but its perfect. I throw it in my backpack just wrapped in a sweatshirt and its gotten thrown around dropped and hit against stuff dozens off time and there's not a chip in the beast.,
not normally, there's a perc in it too and i've overfilled once and got a mouthful. last time i made that mistake
It's not hard to find a 5mm glass on glass tube for under $100 hell I can get a hvy 9mm tube for $160 and that's just for glass on glass there are some amazing quality rubber grommet tubes for under $50 there's also the ssfg travel tube which is still $60 if I'm not mistaken
