well ive been smokeing cannabis for a while and ive just recently been diagnosed with ptsd "post tramatic stress disorder" and im looking for a strain that would help me aleviate the anxiety sleeplessness and asmany as the other symptoms commonly assosiated with ptsd this can include both a morning strain and a night strain post em up im looking for any suggestions!
Hey bro, by having high anxiety I've found that a nice high CBD strain helps me mellow out, if you are in a med state and have access to dispensaries I would ask the bud tender for a high CBD specific stain, sorry I don't know any specific strain names right now that are known for being CBD specific but I've found that Sweet Tooth and Blue Dream works for me every time my connect has it (I'm in a non med state). Too much THC freaks me the fu&k out... For sleep I hit a nice strong indica dominant strain like Afgoo, or Pure Kush. Sorry to hear bout your diagnoses ...couple of my buddies just recently got diagnosed as well. OIF or OEF? I was OIF '06-'07 luckily only one deployment though...hope this helps out Peace
thanks for the info, not in a state in canada but still i dont got the 700$ that makes the mesdical license nearly un accesible to me as im 19 and i just dont got the cash to spend. Im currently growing bubblegum a 45-65% primarily indica, so it should be good from my nights and somewhat for the dsays but it does tire me out so i suppose im looking for a little more of a sativa so im able to continue with my daily routine and not feel like laying down and sleeping altho it be nice haha

I'm thinking of a vacation to Canada (Vancouver), I want to get a feel of the city and experience the different cultures there. Where do you live in Canada? I heard about the medical marijuana problems there in CA...its too bad considering how open-minded your government is there (and people, which I see as a very good thing).
Another PTSD guy here as well... For me, heavy indica's are best. Ive had great luck with Afghan, and many kush strains.. With my anxiety, and ptsd, I dont want my brain working overtime, or be more creative, I want to be able to sleep on it. I have found in the evening, I like Afghan kush, and on the rare occassion I get to smoke in the day I like a hybrid with some sativa so it perks me up.. I tried some boysenberry kush, and it was awesome for me, so awesome for my needs, I pretty much bough clones that day from a dispense, threw them under lights, and didnt look back. Good luck. it gets better over time.
its np, im in eastern part of canada, not much for travelling around here and very inconvenient for license, i honestly prefer the alberta, bc area for the outdoors activitiys, government digusts me lol might seem better but its got so many faults.
i was wondering about kush, never actually had any liek i mentioned earlier i got a indica going now and ive ran these seeds before worked great but little to seditive for me, spec cuz i live a hecktic lifestyle specially now I might try a strain with a bit more sativa like u mentioned heard that sativa is a bit more picky asfar as growing goes
PTSD here also OP. I have tried many diff strains and what I am working on now is having Indica and Sativa strains available to mix according too how I feel each day. I have capsules made up for night time from a pure(Mostly Indica anyway) strain. During the day I use Sativa and then mix a bit of Indica depending on what I have to do that day. There is no perfect answer for you as we are all diff, what we feel and how each strain makes us feel.
Mark me up on the PTSD list. I like pineapple express or something strong Luke LSD. Look around a bit and something will work then grow a shit load of it. Good luck
thats the plan, when i find two strains i like and that give me the most benefit il be running it for a while, atleast till i get tired of em if ever
I also have PTSD and like blue strains..I get some blueberry x aurora indica that is awesome..northern light blue is also good..as for a day strain I like nebula which is ww x haze..grows like an indica and isn't too speedy if you let it go long enough..nice happy buzz
