wow thanks for the ideas, i'm looking them all up. i'm making a big list to give family members so they can get me some for christmas.

Yeah, I like trippin. I'll look it up.

I'm into all kinds of books. I want to have a library someday, so i want to have a little bit of everything. I like informational and bios too. I like to learn new things, and hearing about someones messed up life is always fun.

edit. i been at barnes and noble for 3 hrs looking up books, i already have 23 on my list that i really want. I'm going to get off and take a break.

    keep the ideas coming

  3. Anything by Christopher Moore - he has a wicked sense of humor. My favorites of his are Blood Sucking Fiends and the follow up You Suck. GREAT books...couldn't put them down.

  4. A good ass book is "Intoxication" by Ronald K. Siegal, PhD. It's about the universal 4th drive to get high.

I am really into beatnik writing now.
Id recommend anything by Jack Kerouac. I am currently reading 'On the Road', which has inspired me to hitchhike across this great nation this summer.
Since you mentioned HST, I would recommend The Rum Diary, or his first book which you can find, but is unpublished, 'Prince Jellyfish'.
Look into the beat generation, some great stuff in there.
I also noticed you added 'The Proud Highway', I am currently reading this book. As a warning it is not a work of fiction but a compilation of his letters written to various people throughout his quest to becoming famous.

  15. If your looking for books to change the way you percieve the world and everything in it..

try the Cosmic Serpent by Jeremy Narby

Its never failed to astound everyone Ive recommended it to

happy reading - looks like youre in for a big year with all that reading.

  16. This one will teach you a lot about naturo-pathics and the healing power of herbs. I recommend it to everyone. It isn't perfect, but a generally good starter for anyone who'd like to know about herbology.

  17. Thanks everyone for the great response. I'm going to try to get as many of them as i can.

Yeah its going to be a lot of reading. But i have a lot of time on my hands. Right now i'm kinda taking a break from life, i quit talking to all my "friends", quit work. I wasn't happy were my life was heading, so i'm stepping back, taking a break, opening my mind to new things.

I figured reading was the best thing to do.

  18. Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury

A very good book for sure
